I don’t think he's bowled much at all in the previous two shield games. Maybe an over or 2, NSW seem to have their stocks sorted for now.

Not sure, but a possible explanation as to why Labs took the new ball. A form of protest maybe? But then again, he's not really in a position to be pissing off the selectors right now!
