it's fair to say we should expect a strong response this week - teams with a degree of pride in their performance should respond the week after a flogging.

Break out the KY lads. Both VFL & AFL boys will be p!ssing uphill to get within coee of their opponents this weekend.

Agree. Could be another Shocking Weekend for Both AFL and VFL Teams

The VFL team really should be competitive but for a few reasons it isn't yet.

*New coaching structure; Reckon this is having an impact for sure. Tapping was a great coach at this level, he knew how to get the best out of both groups (the AFL and VFL lists) and combine them to get maximu output. It will take time for Rivers, Gotch and co to do the same.

*Gotch as academy/development coach; New role at the club, but it will help develop our first and second year players quicker, but it may be at the expense of a competitive VFL side.

*Injuries and missing VFL players; We lost Moloney, and haven't since the likes of COllopy or Borthwick this year, players who helped us immensely at VFL level last season. Pendles and Hellier being out hurts too, state level players missing.

*Underdone players; Wills, Berg, De Goey and the kids, really aren't having the impact they should be having at this level. That should start to change soon though, even if we will lose De Goey and probably Scharenberg to the seniors.

*Senior players half arsing it; Blair, Aish, Mayne have been poor at VFL level this week. They are good enough to play at senior level according to our coaching staff yet can barely get a kick at VFL level. That's all down to effort. Blair was close to pathetic last week.

*No home games; We don't go to Vic Park or the HC until next week, that hurts too.

It will take time to find the right mix, just like it seems to every year new for our VFL team. Even last season we started really slow before going on that amazing mid season winning streak. Having an almost fully fit senior list actually isn't that healthy for our VFL team, starangely enough. We actually need more VFL listed players who you know will give you full effort for the entire game.

We will improve as the season goes on, but I'd expect to lose this week, again.

The kids had a pretty horrible time...

If he was dominating for the Saints sure... but his career is almost over due to injury.
If he had played , he would have gone to the saints WAS ALWAYS GOING huge saints family !
NO PITY

Reading it, looks very tidy.

But Heidi is tidy, reserves not so much
