That would be 2 out of 30 but yeah fair call just exploring all angles. Wouldn't be the first player that has been in then out then in of sides. (Barlow, Rockliff, etc) granted they were more injury related but not unheard of.
Agree. Not unheard of but should be avoided if possible. However, what you are suggesting is just not worth it IMO.

Not sure if I should go Yeo or Higgins.

Look at Yeos history. Has had patches where he scores a few good scores then goes to poo.

Last year he had a 92, 95, 129 in first 4 rounds. Scored over 90 only 3 times for the rest of the year and finished averaging 75.

Haven't really watched WC so maybe his role has changed?
He is highly inconsistent, buyer beware.

Seems to be playing a defensive role this year which is why he is scoring so well. Huge talent but tends to get used as a MR fix it, so is given roles that aren't always suited to SC scoring. Off the back of the first two rounds he'd be a must have, but not sure I can trust that his coach will leave him there for the whole year.

Yep's role is fixed this year, he's playing exclusively off the HBF, which suits him perfectly.

Our game style allows him freedom to push up and link up, which means greater possessions.

Add to that he's marking everything and reading the ball well.

He's very much a confidence player, right now he's full of beans and looking a million dollars. But confidence can disappear in a flash and he could drop off.

Still too risky for mine, even Higgins is risky with his injury trouble, but probably a better option still.

Interesting to hear re: Yeo. Thanks for the info.
Certainly got the talent. Almost Jeremy Howe type intercept marker, would be great for his scores if maintains for the year.

Hey guys,

Just after your thoughts on my options this week:

Option 1

GAJ & Pickett > C Oliver and Nank (No cash remaining)

Option 2

GAJ and Ryder > Bont and Higgins\Nank ( 30 or 90K remaining)

Option 3

Hold.

Team attached, currently only 5K in the Bank.

Thanks.

I don't have butler. Thinking about bringing him in.
If so, I will need to trade either eddy or Hananan.

Thoughts?

I think i will, thanks!

Just thinking about Hayward-- not too impressed with doing 3 corrective rookie trades!
Only because he got a late reprieve & is a KPF.

Butler & Hannan are perfect bench options IMO.

Hayward looks the goods, might bring him in for Byron.

Yeo is SLOW ....that's his issue

Be careful .....kicked 3 goals and only scored 50 SC points ......take the goals away and he was a bust

I have both parfitt and Pickett on my mid bench!! I only have SPP and WHE as rookies in these lines so is hard to bring in Hayward

Am I correct in saying that trades cannot be reversed once the round has started? As in I haven't made any trades yet but want to go Riewoldt - Nank before the Tiges game (personally don't think roo will play this week and probably not next) but if I shit myself there's no going back right!?

Correct.

I learnt the hard way last week.

Thinking of downgrading T Lynch (gcs) to yeo...help surely this will end bad???

Not sure on Yeo, he has never been a consistent premo scorer. Having said that Gold Coast were terrible last week and it is hurting Lynch. I would probably hold Lynch if Yeo is the only option that is appealing to you.

Who else can you get?

Might be the lack of sleep but I am considering ditching Shaw and bringing another premo MID in. Thinking might turn him into Murphy and pocket the 140k for upgrade time but can turn him into anyone. Have a feeling that the giants are going to share points for a lot of the season and with the rookies being sub par so far any cash buffer we can get will help.

No doubt shaw will be among the top group of defenders and I will potentially be forced to get him back at some point but just feel that cash for output is going to be super important until we get more reliable rookies (SPP, WHE, Marchbank and Newman obviously look good but hopefully we see more)

Side is

Docherty, Shaw, Laird, Marchbank, Hampton, Otten (Stewart, Smith)

Dangerfield, Pendlebury, Selwood, Fyfe, Beams, O'Meara, Powell-Pepper, Petrevski-Seton (Barrett, Parfitt, Hibberd)

Gawn, Sandilands (Strnadica)

Dahlhaus, Nankervis, Roughead, Steele, Hoskin-Elliott, Taranto (Hannan, Eddy)

150k in the kitty

Any advice greatly appreciated!

Anyone else got an opinion on this? Still not completely sold on what to do here.
