Yes depending on how weak it leaves your midfield and how strong your defence already is.
Cheers mate.

Midfield is pretty weak as is as I have fyfe warming the bench this week.

But essentially I can trade Cripps, sub laird to the mids and then bring in Ridley, so doesn't really weaken my midfield as such, but just feels a bit sideways.. But Cripps could be gus Brayshaw from a few yrs back and just bleed cash to the point where you can't trade him.. But don't wanna miss the boat on riddles

I’m expecting Ridley to be a top 2 defender.

Definitely possible, such a good user by foot and takes a ton of intercept marks. Really only needs 18-20 touches to score big.

Had him last year and he was one of those players you never really had to worry about, even if he had a bad game he'd still get 75-80.

2 predicaments for me - Sharp and Scott. 97k in the bank, no other issues after 2 rounds.

Sharp and Scott are useless as/if dropped this week (respectively). No price gain, no loophole. The way teams are announced makes it nigh on ****ing impossible to smartly select a trade. Could piss away a trade quite easily.

I'm thinking Sharp to Chapman a week early as that looks like a trade I will do anyway. Think Chapman will only get better as the weeks go on. However, his JS isn't super super until the performances do lift from that 21-22nd player on field.
Murphy from the Crows is another option. JS terrible but at least I find out early.
So do I look at Jetta or Butts instead? Solid 55 back up options, should play most weeks, probably would keep as D8 to avoid a 0 in the back end of a season when another rookie would have been dropped.
Or do I look at a donut player? Haven't lost out yet as I wouldn't have changed any options by picking A.Fyfe or similar, is it worth considering now - I've had a great start and want to keep up to the leaders by scraping as much points as I can.

Then I've got Scott. I felt good about my 97k. Makes jumping on an early upgrade easier. But now I'm wondering whether Logan McDonald might be worth spending that on - 86 of the 97 gone like that, but McDonale jumping from 188k is still going to make an upgrade easier, will know by tomorrow if I should look at doing this. If Scott is named I won't go down this path.
I could also sideways to McNeil (he has reversed my mind from round 1 where I felt smug for having Scott and not McNeil) or Lazzaro (his 3 will only be in for 1 week, should be good for 50s and 60s after).

At this stage I'm leaning Scott - > McNeil, pending teams obviously. This avoids having a useless 102k player in my side. Potentially he regains his spot anyway when Rowe, Bergman types start to lose theirs. That would be 2nd best case, first best case is Scott retains his place in the Dogs side for another few weeks.

Sharp I'm leaning towards Murphy as at least I know if he is named tomorrow. But then what happens if the same thing occurs next week...so might still go Chapman.

I don't need to field these guys, just get either cash generation or a loophole for points out of them. Doing neither is worthless so worthwhile trading in my opinion.

Any thoughts? Appreciated if so

Bringing McNeil in? Rumour that Cavarra is an in for us this week and McNeil would be a candidate to go out if true.
On McDonald can he make enough cash? That 88 rolls out very quickly and he has a big task against Richmonds defence.

Can I ask you a Q for a draft league - wtf is up with JJ? Seems that he would have a great role / SC potential with the new rule?
He’s been coasting for a couple of years.shirking the physical stuff, been lax with his disposal, not as professional as he could be. This is a big kick up the arse. An in form JJ is best 22 and you’re right the new rules should suit him.

Alright boys, it's happening lol, Taranto is going out, just 1 week after I brought him in

Here is how I'm justifying it:
If I held Daniher and the cash last week, I would have still traded Daniher and a dead rookie to Impey and Tex this week
This in and out trade is just a correction, I made a mistake, now I'm fixing it
This mistake has cost me 1 trade, it's bad, but it could have been worse

I'll look at grabbing a GWS player (Whitfield, Jelly, Cogs maybe, maybe even Taranto again lol) after their bye, in round 13, when they have this run:

It's fine! Everything will work out in the end!

Didn’t you just bring Stevenson in last week along with stevebbb ? 🤔

I feel a roughie gif coming up. 😄
No Stevo for me, that's just crazy talk. At least I brought in Taranto with some form of decent scoring history. I still think he'll average 100, but Tex is going to kick 100 this year, need to jump on now before he hits $700k

McSpud wasn't that bad last week.

Doggies need to choose one small forward for a month to see if they show something.

You'd have to be in a very good position to be trading Taranto at this stage when he has had scores of 107 and 67, that is a real luxury trade.

I'll be holding him and hoping he can bounce back with another ton, another sub 70 score though and I might have to think about turfing him.
That I am haha nailed all the rookies and have avoided the carnage so far. Been very lucky!

Could have sworn that you were at least entertaining Stevo then. LOL.

Love having a week to run through a couple hundred trade options. Doesn't make me dizzy at all.

Thought I was happy to pass on the North kids as most of my other rooks are solid but it turns out, after a few days, I'm not.

So, latest iteration Green > Powell. I still want to give Phillips the arse but can't decide whether to go Bowes/Brayshaw or go for the absurd cash grab that is Tex-Mex. Upgrading seems to make a whole lot more sense, but I kind of want to load up on earning power, take the 300k from trades, and give myself another week to look at the players I'm interested in. It'll also give me an extra week to assess a couple of existing players who may or may not fill the roles I had earmarked for them in my team.

Also if I do that, Andrew Birch my learned friend, you can truly say i DID trade Phillips to Tex, and I'm still okay with that.

Hi All,

I need advice. Thinking these 2 options:

FYI 145k banked.

Option 1)
Daniher > Texan
Phillips > Butters

Option 2)
Daniher > Texan
Taranto > Butters (throw dusty in mids)

Any other suggestions welcomed. 🕺🏻
