We all pot shot Hopper and Taranto but hoping yesterday can be the new standard going forward.

61 touches, 15 score involvements and 9 tackles combined. Against a stacked midfield as well.

They did well and can see they had better output when the young ones stepped up, Lalor just quietly accumulating.

I think the change is to the rookies can just play. You don't need to have a LTI for a rookie to be main list and play.

With Blight preferred forward and 2nd ruck, Gray could get a chance sooner rather than later.

It’s difficult to find a spot for him because we’ve got Balta due back, and I assume he plays KPD. But there’ll be injuries during the season.
I reckon at AFL level he’d be great on the more athletic KPF’s, yesterday for example I think he’d have been a good match up on Morris.

He’s done well in that role before, no doubt we could play him as a genuine swingman, which would include 2nd ruck duties, he’s like another mid when the ball hits the ground.

I’ve got a feeling Yze will want to settle him in defence though.

Going to be interesting how we fit in all these talls in 3-4 seasons.

Faull and Armstrong as your two key position forwards.
Sims as a rotating fwd/Ruck but playing all three plus a genuine ruck may be a bit tall.
Is there a future for a Fawcett in this group?

Trainor, Gibcus, Balta as your key backs.

Ryan, Bauer, Young, Miller, Lefau all still unknown.

I don’t reckon young gets another contract

2024 Yze started the season with Balta forward before injury to Young & Gibcus, moved forward again to give Blight a game.

Blight and Miller playing well enough. Blight named KPD but playing a lot up forward. Bauer is maybe who he comes in for.

Yea likely and but unlucky too as he certainly shows a bit at afl level , pity he didn’t kick at least one of his shots

He’s certainly been one that plenty of VFL watchers have been on for a while.
Said it earlier in the season he reminds me a bit of Durham during his time on our VFL list. Tallish winger/hb, who has great speed/endurance and a long boot. Starting to play more midfield time too, which only adds to his appeal

I do agree that Bauer has been a tad disappointing so far but watching agenda setters last night and up popped this stat.
