WHen I use a calculator at work we return products to stock. If i return say 1000 of 2000 units and want to know the remainder (yes the numbers here are obvious) Ill punch in 1000 - 2000 and I ignore the negative. Rather than the other way.

I’m the same with the tv/radio volume.

I never really cared so much, until I dated a woman who absolutely had to have all volume on an even number.
We didn't date very long, as she had a laundry list of issues to deal with. She didn't take the split very well. A nightmare.

Since that day, all volume settings are delibertely on an odd number, as my quiet way of acknowledging the horrible woman that I wasted a few months on.
