I know its rather early but i thought id create this thread.

From the commentary today they said tha Spida wont be ready for next weeks game. Also i expect Nick Davis to be back in the team next week but im not sure who we will replace as everyone played well against Port Adelaide.

Barry Hall played really well against Port but Round 3 will be the real test as there have been rumours that he is having trouble seeing at night and the game against Brisbane at the Gabba has a starting time of 7:30pm.

This game is HUGE, it's one thing to get your first win, but backing it up is even harder. The Lions are fresh and exciting, and at home, so a win there would be just the tonic for a great season!

Will be a massive game and so important for both clubs as Sydney have West Coast, Geelong, and North after next week, and Brisbane have Port, Hawthorn, and Geelong.

This is going to be a very very tough match. Wouldn't be too surprised if we'll play in a "shut down" mode like last year. Though if our midfield can step up to Lion's midfield, like the way we did today against PA, could be a very very exciting game. It may go down the wire just like a couple of games we've played in the past at the Gabba.

The intensity, pressure, tackling and skills were are present today. We were persistent in everything we did today, especially our tackling. It has been more effective than the game against the Saints last week. Hoping that we can carry the momentum to next week's game.

I'm really worried about this game. Not because of the opposition. but because its on channel ten at night.

I don't think we won any night games last year. And whats worse a channel ten coverage is usually a bad omen

I know what you mean. Over the past year or 2 the Swans record for Saturday games on at 7:30pm on channel 10 has been woeful.

Imagine how good the Swans would be if we could play all our games on Sunday at 1:00pm :D

Brown was not suited with the slippery conditions on Friday and he still looks good I hope C Bolton can hold him and Bradshaw is looking ready to get his game back after the reconstruction. Still if we can win the midfield and tag Power out of the game it will go a long way to improving on the draw that I sadly witnessed last year in the dying seconds.

And by the way Hi from a Newbie! Look forward to discussing the Swans

The match starts at 7:10pm Brisbane time so 8:10pm your time.

Daylight savings ends for you the morning after the game on the 6 April.

It's a foxtel broadcast, but will be played on channel 10 into Brisbane and Sydney.

I honestly think there will only be one change this week, and call it biased but Benny should be the one, he's at his best against Luke Power.

The problem is who comes out, I would say Bevan but those two goals may've saved him.

Well Jolly might be injured and on Fox Sports News they said Goodes might get suspended.

I just can't see any changes to a side that smashed last years grand finalists. If it's not broken don't try and fix it! From reports in another thread it doesn't seem as though Davis did enough to be brought back in and Matthews only played limited time due to being first emergency. Also Bevan played his best game since '05 in my opinion wo would be stiff to miss out.
This should be a cracking game, obvious keys are Brown and Hall and the two midfields. Really looking forward to it.

I wouldn't worry about the swans having a shorter break either, even though we played in the heat the Lions would have slightly heavier legs from running through the mud in the centre square.

Yeah thats the one. They only said might but they also said that last years incident would not help his cause.
It wouldn't surprise me at all if he cops a week, it was a pretty stupid thing to do and he should have known better. The perception was last year that he got off pretty lightly so I reckon he may be in trouble.

goodes IS in trouble
will get a week if he accepts, and i'd think we'd be pushing our luck to challenge it
