Nah I disagree given the context - can take it out of the thread though if we don’t want to clog it with philosophical debate
It’s more a matter of who comes in?
McGovern, Shuey are definitely gone
Witherden has to serve a mandatory, what, 12 days? He’s gone.
Cripps is probably gone for a few at least
Ryan is also probably gone for a while
Chesser looked iffy. Barrass maybe no certainty
Who the hell do we have ?
Unfortunately those who deserve to be dropped on form probably won’t now (looking at you Sheed and Gaff)
Hough, Hedwards and Culley would be near certainties
Rotham may have to come right back in too.
From then on it starts getting dicier

Chesser will see how he pulls up with a tweak to the knee
Darling, I got sent a message at half time that he had a tweak in his upper back in the first half
So we're potentially 7 down with injuries although I expect Darling to get up.

I don't think Yeo will be available next week. I think Barrass operates best when he's the main interceptor and having H.Edwards and Bazzo with him will make him more decisive in going after the high balls.

TBH this might be too many changes to select players on merit...
Hough & Petruccelle are certainly worthy of selection imo.
If both Cripps & Ryan are out, as a like for a like replacement I wouldn't mind Winder as the other small forward in.

Is Yeo good to go? If so straight swap for Shuey in order to provide midfield leadership. Sad that Shoo is hurt yet again, but it's just how it is. Game has gone past what his body can sustain.
Let's be real: Shuey, NN, Yeo and Hurn won't be around when we eventually come good again, so not super bummed that they aren't all out there. This really is the year of "play the kids, build a new style of play". Drill the gameplan into the youngins' heads, give them game day experience, draft well and use this year to build into next.
