Also if you have Simon Black/Luke Power, make them captain, always kill Collingwood

Also Dal Santo will be tagged by Crowley, Kirk to Judd, Jack to Murphy/Gibbs

ablett all the way...Even if he has a poor game he will score 100. everyone else is a risk, trust me i had harvey rd1 as capt against melbourne avg 140 last 3 or 4 times and got burnt! Ablett capt every game he plays!

Either Goddard or NDS for me. With Goddard he is capable of scoring anywhere between 70 and 200, but with NDS he is pretty consistent at scoring 100.

Sydney's last 2 games have had Kirk tagging the oppositions best midfielder and has restricted Mitchell to 36 and Black to 43. So based on that I'd avoid captaining Judd this week.

Bartel's numbers are juicy against the Crows though, hopefully he can pick up some big numbers. I dont have the balls to make him captain..unfortunately.

Crowley against Goddard concerns me, although I reckon he'll play on Dal Santo.

Collingwood don't know the meaning of the word "tag" and won't tag Power or Black let alone Drummond.

He is going to absolutely rip it to shreds up at the Gabba and score another 160.

during the epic rivalry between the swans and the eagles, when Kirk and Judd were both at the height of their powers, Kirk wasn't able to keep Judd quiet. I think Roos knows this and will try either Jack or Goodes on him. I think Kirk will go to Murphy.

Shirley has been brought in especially to tag Ablett.

I have no faith that Drummond or Goddard will repeat their heroics from last week. Wish I had Montagna.

I'm going to go with someone other than Ablett, but not tell you who it is. That way, at the end of the weekend, I can log on and claim that it's my top scoring player no matter how far-fetched that may be. If it's Ablett, well, I'll just say that I was lying to throw you all off and actually chose Ablett. I mean, you wouldn't choose anyone other than Ablett, if you had Ablett, would you?

Impressing the people on the BigFooty SC board is really important to me.

I'll leave you with three thoughts that may influence your decision as to who you pick as captain:

1) Geelong are playing a night game at AAMI
2) Robert Shirley has been selected
3) Brad Moran has been named as an emergency

Sure, you may get a better score by having ablett as captain, and I admit that it is much less risk, but it takes all the fun out of it. After all, we are playing a GAME here, and let me tell you that it is much more fun when you have chosen someone as captain who scores more than ablett (I did it a few times last year).

For the record, I have Ablett but will be choosing Richo as my captain this week. It's not that I think Ablett will go bad, cos I know he won't. I just think Richo will score better than Ablett and I'm willing to back myself.

There are always players who score more than Ablett every week (Goddard, Jolly, Ottens, etc), those who are good supercoaches will be able to correctly select these players as captain and earn those extra few points needed to beat your opposition who has ablett as captain.

Don't have ablett, and he dosen't do well agasint Adelaide (usually) so obviously he's not my captain.

I was thinking Deledio, playing against Melbourne he should rip it up and should score 120 at least. He's coming off a bad couple of games and should be ready to explode against Melbourne.

Another option I have is Joel Corey. Anyone know what he's like against Adelaide??

You've convinced me, no risk, no reward. That's why I'm selecting Zac Dawson as my captain. Surely he's due for a break-out game any time now, right???

Averages 89.5 against Adelaide. Not really a great captain choice is it.

Thats when Ablett became GABLETT. All scores prior are irrelevant as this is the year he reduced the reigning Brownlow Medalist to a bit player and became the greatest midfielder the game has ever seen!

I am willing to take the gamble that he outscores that 91 by atleast 30 points and is the best choice for the week once again!

ABLETT!

He gets the best tag EVERY week and still averages 150. Call me boring, but 300 points (give or take) from captain EVERY week is gold! Trying to pick a captain who will score more than that may be fun and it may be a challenge, but it aint easy to do and on most occassions (from my experience anyway) will flop. Ablett may flop too, but I am going to go with form.

Not convinced Hodge is near his best as yet. Judd will probably get the Kirk tag, so his scoring may be down. I would go with Goddard or Drummond - in that order IMO.

I have had Judd as captain for the last 2 weeks. I feel that Kirk will keep his score down this week so i'm running with Goddard as captain this week. The Dockers are shocking at accountability so i think Goddard will have a field day.
