Same was said for McKay. Larkey won't leave.
He should still be in the side.

2 genuine talls we want to work together for a long time.

Wood and Jack as 3rd and 4th talls.

We lack dynamic enough smalls to make this happen. We'd need 2 rabid dogs in there + a mid/forward who has great pressure skills.

Give Wilkinson a run of games at Browns feet.

No one else seems to want to crumb his contests.

Reported you to the ADL :^]

Julian De Stoop on AFL Tonight mentioned that Campbell will go out for Mason Wood.
Mason must have REALLY impressed with his physicality in that 1/4 he played.

In's; Anderson, Wood
Out's; Campbell Tyson ( imo)
Garner trained today pulled out last week due to being tight, not sure if that meant was concerned about injury or it was his shout.
Surely you have more details/goss on Ahern? The situation is beyond imbecilic if he isn't in this week (even though I've maintained since no late changes Sunday he wouldn't be).

Mason actually played well in that quarter and a bit. Yeah he kicked 0.3 but he also setup another two goals. Souva isn't playing this week.

Injured?

Despite these reports, most of the posters here are critical of Brad Scott for not making changes. He clearly made 7 changes from last year. He just cant win, because when he makes changes, we arent winning, yet when he doesnt make them, he isnt making enough changes. Half the posters here are calling for the wrong names every week!! Let the coaches coach.

Perhaps you're missing the point. Those of us criticising selection are sick of the automatic selections who are turning in pedestrian performances at best; namely, McDonald, Macmillan, Atley (for years), and now Simpkin and Turner.

They are all worthy of games in the seniors, but they categorically do not deserve the automatic selection status that they have been bestowed. When they underperform, which has been each of three games for nearly all of them this season, they should be dropped to the VFL to re-set and find form.

"Let the coaches coach" is the mantra that has kept us mediocre for a decade.

So is it just Wood, Anderson and Ahern in this week?
Any idea who the outs are besides Campbell.

Maybe you are right, but I dont think he is gifting games to those players you listed. I think each of them offer something. Before you drop these players, you need to replace them. Who do you bring in?
McDonald for whom? I would take him over Wright, or any other defensive player on our list fitting the same body shape.
Macmillan (offers great leadership) for whom?
Atley (offers great pace) for whom?
Simpkon (is young and needs games, and has sublime skills)
Turner (has fantastic forward pressure) for whom?

Wood struggled, and got dropped. I personally have called for Larkey and would play him instead of Campbell, but mainly because he is our future. Same logic applies to Simpkin, LDU, Ahern, etc....

Im not saying Brad is right, but rather than jump on here and attack the coaching staff, many of us want to read positive comments, not all this negative crap. I mean, which club has a petition to sack the coach on their board. Seriously!! That is crazy sh1t.

Not a bad comment, except I don't buy for a minute we're losing because of Tyson, Hall, Pittard, Polec or Bailey Scott. Pittard, Polec & Hall have been in our best handful of players and Tyson & Scott have held their own. We're losing because they've been added to a core that isn't delivering.

By rights, Goldy should be putting on a masterclass in Ruckwork v Reilly Whoever, back him in to top 50+ hitouts, problem is the main beneficiaries will be Sloane, Crouch x 2, Gibbs, Atkins, Knight etc, Sloane has shown a dislike for taggers more than once, so Brad will accomodate him by backing ours vs theirs midfields as per usual without BJ.

Im sure for some it is not, but others see this, and think how poor it is.

Who gives a shit what others think. Airs and graces can piss off right now. We are rattling cages across the board, not just on BF and Brad's admission today that it was his error for playing too many new players is a direct result of supporter angst.

His response today was to appease the masses by putting his hand up and no doubt suggested strongly from senior management with the flack the club is copping by the masses. It's contrived and lacking in conviction. This sideshow they're running down there is quite disturbing and change needs to happen.

The Club think we are all mouth breathers and while it will fool some, others will see this as Damage Control 101 and see right through it. This bullshit spin has been going on for a while and when an entity goes down this route, you're ****ed.

He must go as we need a circuit breaker right now

And I'm not saying drop all five at once, although they should each be in the gun.

Bring in Ahern, Murphy, Zurhaar. Hrovat? Now Anderson and Wright would appear to be ready.

I'm a big Simpkin fan, but any normal club would have dropped him after round 2, which was his 4th extremely poor game in a row (in 2 JLT games, he got 3 kicks).

You're drinking the kool aid if you think Macmillan's "great leadership" results in tangible benefits anywhere near the negatives of his onfield performances.

McDonald has hardly played an AFL standard game for over a year. Wright was playing very well in the last part of last year.

Turner would be fine if other forwards got more involved. But he is limited, despite his admirable qualities.

Finally, I'll repeat "Let the coaches coach" is the mantra that has kept us mediocre for a decade.

Another interesting North stat for this year:

Handballs: 1st
Kicks: 18th

We average 73 more handballs a game than last years premiers.

............and surprise, surprise...................we're last in the comp for ****ing inside 50's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That stat is so telling it’s unbelievable.
I’ve been saying for years whenever we’ve overused the handball. Why on earth create a pressure contest a couple of meters from you when you can create the same contest, if needs must, 40 odd meters away.

We're overcooking the handball, denying our forwards decent opportunities, and are down on stoppage numbers, and none of this has anything to do with 6-6-6 and everything to do with tactics.

I would like:
In: Larkey, Hrovat, Anderson, Murphy, Ahern
Out: Campbell, Thomas (rest), Tyson, Jmac, Simpkin

I expect:
In:Anderson
Out: Thomas

The frustration is we have good depth. We can’t make 5 changes every game but ideally if we had of made 1or 2 unforced changes in the last 2 weeks it wouldn’t require such wholesale changes
