Propbably the final quarter round two vs the bulldlogs was worse. But that was only one quarter. The was an entire game of such blatant bias that the fox commentary team harped on about it during and after the game.

The noodle to Jai tap for the Lewis goal at the death would never have happened last year. Noodle and Cmac into the centre clearance > Merrett and Petraca in (hypothetically) for impact.

The spirit of the team today was Uma Thurman in Kill bill. Never getting buried. Butler is a 10x stock, that's just started paying massive cash dividends.

Lewis was a real presence in the last quarter. As he was against Sydney. That critical mark in front of goal. Reeves tap work, McDonald and Newcombe sending the ball forward. Ginnivan did some elite things in the first half. Josh Ward is a good foil with Newcombe in the middle. And the most pleasing thing is that two games in a row now the team has dug deep and fought the game out to the end. A sure sign of a side that is taking that necessary next step. Chol, I thought let the pressure get to him. Not a criticism and I hope he has learnt from the experience. He did everything well, very well. Except kicking for goal. And how big was the smile on Jack Dalton's face at the end of the game? Imagine being a teenager, first time on the MCG and he plays in a game like that in front of a massive crowd. And he looks good out there. Gets involved and that's always a sure sign for young players.
