Don't like our chances on this one: 11.45 am start our time, we always seem to turn up still half asleep for the first half.

Yes, I know they are professionals and stuff, but that seems to be the way it works out.

I think in our current state we aren't meant to win this one. Reckon that similiar to the Port game we'll struggle to gain that ascendancy in the midfield which'll mean that our less than ideal (but nonetheless improving) forward line entries will come under more heat. Even in the Essendon/GC games there were a fair few long-bombs to an outnumbered small/McCarthy that the good teams will eat up all day.

If its within 20-30 and the young kids don't completely wilt under the pressure I'll be happy. If we win though all bets are off for this season.

Good test of where we’re at. GWS play really good footy in Canberra and they’ll be fired up having been poor at the SCG last week. If we are competitive it will auger well for the rest of the season.

We are getting better week on week, if GWS are not on the top of their game and take us lightly, I smell an upset here. We could leave Manuka with the points against the odds. A. Pearce to do to Cameron what he did to Daniher. McCarthy to boot 5 goals. Freo by 7pts

It’s round 4 and we are yet to have a game won just before or after the siren. Who’s turn is it this year?

Dardy McCrafty to bomb a set shot goal from beyond 50m to put us 2pts up with 40 seconds of play left. Back to the centre, de Boer tagging Fyfe gets his first clearance, a hack kick towards their 50m flank spelling danger for our defence................... WHAT A MARK! Nathan Wilson take a Leo Barry type intercept match saving mark. Runs the clock down and kicks long down the line to Fyfe, who finishes the game with ball in hand and 3 Brownlow votes.

Well done boys!!!! Well done!

Damn all this upset talk!!! Im in danger of thinking its a possibilty we could win this one. I dont want things to end up like the Port game where I thought we were a sneaky chance but we get pumped and i end up bitterly disappointed :'(

Does anyone get genuinely nervous thinking about the possibility that the Fremantle that gets pumped by 50+ Is going show it’s ugly face in upcoming games?

I don't think we will get smashed. i think we will be in the game, but their class will win over in the end.
Sydney beat them by being harder at the contest, oh and Buddy.
Honourable loss I reckon

I think this week will be a massacre. First 4 away games are basically the top 4 sides, good chance we get 50+ floggings in all of them. But we should keep the wins ticking over at home.

Their midfield is top notch , but so is ours! If Taberner and Mcarthy play well, we could take tis game up to them. I’ve been very impressed with our team last couple of weeks and their big ground might suit us. Not expecting to win but definitely not without a chance here.

We lost by 50 points only three games ago so it could happen anytime we come up against a top side, although it’s probably harder now our backs are settled and the forward line is more functional.

How do you guys think the excers will go? We won't be booing it's just not what our crowds do. My Thoughts:-

1. Matt De Boer is too much of a professional to let it get to him. He'll do his job as he would against any other team. Then probably socialise with his old mates after the game.

2. Cam McCarthy has been gone a while and was always popular with the playing group. Doubt He'll cop much sledging and go about his business.

3. Nathan Wilson is the the interesting one I think. Again I don't think He'll cop much other than the normal in game banter. Everyone understands why he left. Regrettable but understandable.

It's a bit unusual he's up again st his old club and mates so quickly, and I think as an important player though. Could go either way in my view. Maybe he'll be a bit put off. Maybe he'll relish the chance to show the guys he used to train with he can beat them under matchday pressure.

Cameron looked like he was going to be the next Carey and just never took the next step. Pretty disappointing. I think A Pearce will wear him like a glove on the weekend. Cameron to kick 1 goal.

Remember we should have beaten this crew last year, cept i don't think we were all that keen on beating them.

Fyfe another 3 votes. He has got the 3 last two games he has played against GWS.
