I thought Josh really added something last week. What I've noticed is that he at the very least makes it a contest when we kick to him. Quite often I've noticed Gorringe or Hickey lacking the experience to really get to ruck contests, or missing the contest completely.

Weller very stiff. Kept Zaha very honest last week. Though whoever did come out for Brown was to be stiff after last week. The fact that he's not named forward could mean he'll play down back? Perhaps swapping with Shaw down there.

Merrett did a good job pinch hitting in there last week so I expect him to do the same this week as some relief for old Hudson.

We are as surprised as you! Massive in for us. He and Leuenberger were BOG last Q-Clash. Glad one of them made it in.

As Lionshine said, Merrett is a very capable ruck. He's become quite the utility this year.

Oh! There you go. I knew that Merrett could pinch-hit for a few hit-outs, I just didn't expect him to fill the second ruck option. Maybe 80% Hudson, 20% Merrett?

No way will we put Rischitelli with Black again. Though he did very nice work last week defensively. Swallow to run with Black maybe? We can only hope that Simon has one of his down days. Or hope our own inside mids beat him to the punch.

Longer is a bit stiff. I thought he looked pretty good on debut (although admittedly I only watched the first quarter).

Pretty much had to ruck an entire game against Sandilands after Leuenberger went down.

I watched him pretty closely, I wasn't too impressed. He is a big boy, he needs to go a lot harder. His decision making is quite poor at the moment too. He hasn't quite clicked at AFL level yet, doesn't quite look like he belongs out there. I could see him getting dropped for Browny. I must say I am really disappointed in what I have seen from Weller so far, I really thought he was going to be a quality player. He still might be, but his start has been well below what I expected.

i was going to mention during the week that it would be a shame not to see blacky and ablett go head to head. argh, happy to see such a champion return after injury, but hopefully he isn't too influential.
