Why? Pies-Hawks only got 72K. Why would Richmond draw more than Hawthorn?
I'd be comfortable in predicting that they would get between 76-83k Could have been more if the pies had won yesterday

Because a lot of the Collingwood reserved seat holders didn't turn up yesterday. Good chance that anyone with a passing interest in Richmond could be there on Saturday

because it rained yesterday.
because its our home game.
we have 55,000 members.
its forecast as 22 and sunny.
richmond are 3-0.
and before 25% of us were born, richmond and collingwood absolutely hated each other.

Because they're on a roll and have more supporters perhaps ? You must be young.
All I'm saying is that Collingwood and Hawthorn are genuine top 4 and flag contenders. Richmond are not at this point.

Rain wasn't forecast yesterday.
5-day forecasts are about as accurate as Brian Taylor's commentary.

So we shouldn't attend because we are no chance of winning? Lol

We've gone 3-0 for the first time since 1995, every Tiger fan and his dog would want to be at the G on Saturday afternoon in the traditional 2:10 time slot. Should be nice weather too.

Tell me where I said that?

Hawthorn > Richmond in terms of on field performances and recent success. Surely you're not disputing that?

He never did dispute that. He's saying Richmond have had their best start to the season in 18 years, have more supporters than Hawthorn and have a chance to prove themselves against a premiership contender. On top of that; Richmond v Collingwood is already a massive rivalry. Never did he say Richmond were better than Hawthorn.

Fair enough. They may well get 80K, but I just think it's not a "anything less and your kidding yourself" type of situation.

We have 10,000 more local members than hawthorn. From my experience I'll be surprised if there are less than 85k. Our supporters will be there in droves just like they were for the 93 preseason GF when 75k were at waverley and 10k were locked out

That will have absolutely no impact on the crowd.

New season, 3-0 start, game against traditional rival Collingwood on a sunny Saturday afternoon.

Hawthorn v Fremantle - 34 pts
Richmond v Collingwood - 2 pts - MOTR

Yes it was BOM predicted 60% and thats why AFL closed Etihad roof.

Did it rain at the G?

A 5 day forecast? 7 days prior it was 50% and moved to 60% 12-24 hours leading up to the game.

Are your fans that sensitive to some drops of rain they didnt bother turning up.

Sydney v Geelong - 11 pts - Third six day break in a row is a bit much. Who booked this shit?
Hawthorn v Fremantle - 12 pts - I officially tipped Hawthorn but I sense piss and vinegar in the Dockers
Richmond v Collingwood - 23 pts - 83,000 - Baby steps, Tiger cubs
St Kilda v Essendon - No Comment - 45,000
Gold Coast v Port Adelaide - 8 pts -Six day break and different conditions are not Port's friend
West Coast v Carlton - 3 pts -
Melbourne v GWS - 21 pts - Would reverse the tip if it was at Skoda, but don't see GWS winning on the G
Adelaide v Footscray - 34 pts - No disrespect to the Bulldogs, but Adelaide are due to show SOMETHING
North Melbourne v Brisbane - 47 pts - Don't see Brisbane catching the front-loaded North

Geez, two years ago when Gold Coast won their first game, or even a month ago before Round 1 began, how many people would have been bold enough to suggest that GOLD COAST vs. PORT ADELAIDE had the potential to be the match of the round? More pumped for this than I've ever been for a Port game.

Geelong 14pts
Hawthorn 39pts
Collingwood 15pts
Essendon 9pts
Port. 24pts
West Coast 32pts
Melbourne 45pts
Adelaide 50pts
North Melb. 18pts

Hmm, Hawks should win and get the 4 points - by how much is anyone's guess! I guess I'm predicting another close one for them as they score freely and build a buffer, then run out of steam and give it all up in the last quarter. :)

Let's hope so..
Hope you guys can take right up to the Pies too. Tigers are playing good football.

Sydney by 24 points, 25,000

St Kilda v Essendon - 40k
Gold Coast v Port Adelaide- 9 11k

Why? Pies-Hawks only got 72K. Why would Richmond draw more than Hawthorn?
I think the Tigers will draw more than us. :thumbsu:

Sydney v Geelong- 42pts 30k
Hawthorn v Freo- 37pts 15k
Richmond v Collingwood- 34pts 89k
St Kilda v Essendon - 50pts 40k
Gold Coast v Port Adelaide- 29pts 14k
West Coast v Carlton- 34pts 41k
Melbourne V GWS- 45pts 16k
Adelaide v Western Bulldogs- 25pts 31k
North Melbourne v Brisbane- 69pts 27k

Geelong by 10 points (Flip of a coin, really but it will definitely be a good indicator of Sydney's back-to-back chances)
Hawthorn by 27 points (Fremantle have improved but I don't see them beating Hawthorn away)
Collingwood by 22 points (good indicator of where Richmond are really at, but Collingwood are still the better team IMO)
Essendon by 38 points (Essendon have the form and ability on their side... Don't see the Saints putting up much of a fight after half time)
Port Adelaide by 5 points (Definitely looks like Port are going to be the big improvers of 2013 but Gold Coast should give them hell at Metricon)
West Coast by 8 points (Don't see Carlton beating them in Perth)
GWS by 32 points (Even GWS have shown more improvement than Melbourne these days)
Western Bulldogs by 42 points (My confidence in Adelaide is shot and seeing what the Bulldogs did to Brisbane...)
North Melbourne by 25 points (Neither team is in such great form but North have the home advantage and have looked a bit more convincing than Brisbane have)

Sydney-3.1.19-6.3.39-12.7.79-15.10.100
Geelong-3.2.20-6.3.39-7.7.49-10.11.71

Sydney get out of 2nd gear for 1 quarter and put the game away

Hawthorn-2.4.16-3.7.25-6.11.47-10.15.75
Fremantle-2.2.14-4.2.26-6.3.39--10.4.64

Fremantle pressure hassles Hawthorn, but Hawthorn's sheer quantity of possession eventually breaks through

Richmond---3.3.21-7.4.46-13.7.85-20.11.131
Collingwood-4.2.26-7.4.46-10.5.65-11.7.73

"Blockbuster fatigue"

St Kilda---2.1.13-5.3.33--10.5.65---11.7.73
Essendon-9.5.59-12.7.79-16.10.106-22.12.144

PED's havn't worn off just yet.

Gold Coast---6.2.38-7.5.47-11.7.73-12.10.82
Port Adelaide-2.2.14-6.4.40-10.6.66-15.9.99

Port Adelaide come out complacent but eventually overrun the Suns.

West Coast-2.2.14-6.5.41-10.7.67-14.10.94
Carlton-----5.2.32-8.4.52-11.3.69-14.7.91

Because I want to despite having no valid reasoning.

Melbourne---------------1.0.6--3.0.18
Greater Western Sydney-6.1.37-12.3.75

Match called off at half time as Melbourne fans begin rioting.

Adelaide---------10.2.62-11.5.71-15.6.96-17.9.111
Western Bulldogs-0.0.0---3.0.18--8.2.50--12.5.77

Adelaide to rebound, but then put the sword away once the game is over at 1/4 time.

North Melbourne-3.0.18-7.1.43-10.2.62--11.4.70
Brisbane---------4.4.28-8.8.56-12.13.85-17.16.118

North seem to be playing everyone into form right now, I guess this'll be another case of that happening.
