Friday Night looks like being a pretty good game, which a lot of people thought may not have been possible at the start of the year. The Blues always give their best against Essendon, but I think the Bombers are a bit stronger around the ground and it will be interesting to see how both teams enter the match mentally after last week's results.

Port should be too strong for the Demons, even at the MCG.

Brisbane can afford the odd loss or two, West Coast can't especially at home. They should be a bit too strong at Subiaco and will enter the game knowing they can beat the Lions after last year's great win at the Gabba.

I really feel sorry for the loser of this game. Geelong will win.

The Saints interstate record is woeful, and the Crows are due for a win and are hard to beat at home. Loss won't hurt the Saints.

Don't rule out Fremantle - even at the Dome.

The Swans to win more impressively this week.

Hawks look stronger around the ground.

Essendon by 24
Port Adelaide by 36
West Coast by 8
Adelaide by 22
Geelong by 10
Collingwood by 11
Hawthorn by 16
Sydney by 20

Carlton v Essendon

gee you would have the bombers as favourites, but this game carlton always lifts for. hard to tell
bombers by 11 points

Melbourne v Port

melbourne to come back to earth agaisnt a quality team
Port by 43 points

WCE v Lions

eagles will be without gardiner and cox, what I would have thought thats where they had the edge on the lions makes it more even with the inclusion likely to be an untried seaby. Lions maybe without White and Lynch depend on suspension. Also heard Judd maybe injured. Going on form a close win to the lions to give the eagles 2 losses at home
Lions by 9 points

Geelong v Richmond

Geez, cant pick them, not going to be fun for the loser, scrappy game
Tigers by 12 points

Adelaide v St Kilda

going on form only, not much more I can say.
saints by 25 points

Kangas v Sydney

both teams got away from the jaws of defeat last week, in what many would have thought to be disappointing showing from both teams. another one that can go either way
Sydney 17 points

Collingwood v Fremantle

tarrant less will hurt the pies up forward. Fremantle coming off what some say as a shocking game against the crows. Im picking them to meet the collingwood challenge
Dockers to win by 27 points

Hawthorn v Bulldogs

Hawks to write off last week as a bad week, bulldogs to tease fans again
Hawks by 15 points

BOMBERS
POWER
LIONS
TIGERS
SAINTS
SWANS
DOCKERS
HAWKS

Carlton v Essendon
Carlton. Essendon are a 2 man team at the moment and Carlton have held one of them in recent games

Melbourne v Port
Port. Just about a shoot out between Neitz and Tredrea. Spine reasonably even but Port's support players are better.

WCE v Lions
Brisbane. Gardiner and Judd out will hurt the Eagles too much

Geelong v Richmond
Draw. I refuse to pick either team - they're both pathetic

Adelaide v St Kilda
Adelaide. Will be won in the midfield where I think the Crows are stronger, led by Clarke and Ricciuto.

Kangas v Sydney
Sydney. Just because

Collingwood v Fremantle
Fremantle. Sandilands will kill the Collingwood ruckmen and with Rocca the sole forward, Collingwood will struggle

Hawthorn v Bulldogs
Hawthorn. Even if Everitt and Crawford are rubbed out, Bulldogs just don't know how to win

meh.. I reackon our midfeild of Harvey, Hayes, Thompson, Powell, Black, Ball, Dal Santo, Goddard is better.

Aussie Jones can take his turn in there as well.

Obviously we dont have a great ruckman but we are second in the leauge for clearnces and center bounce clearnces so It's not making much of a diffrence.

Hopefully the pies should get up. Hopefully for dad the dees get up. Haven't lost to Port at the 'G. And always push them to their limit at AAMI.

It's a good midfield but not as good as the Crows IMO, Bode in for Goodwin won't hurt them much. You've only played Geelong (no ruckman), Essendon (not a great midfield) and Richmond (simply hopeless) so while you've played well, it's not surprising you're doing well in clearances against those teams. Clarke is the best tap ruckman in the competition which won't help you in clearances. Will be close but I think the Crows will get over the line.

Ill agree to disagree.

I think our midfeild would kill your midfeild at the Telstra Dome but were not playing there.

We deffinatly have a pace advantage.

Russian, I am a Crows supporter, and I don't think the Crows can win this week.

Goodwin out will hurt a good deal (as he was one of the players who was contributing), and more to the point I don't believe the Crows have any method at the moment. They are seriously down on form, they cant seem to kick a goal to save themselves, they are a long way from the level they should be playing at.

Saints by 5 goals is my tip.

Essendon
Melbourne
Brisbane
Richmond(can't believe i'm tipping Richmond)
Adelaide
Kangaroos
Collingwood
Hawthorn

If the crows go all out attack rather than screwing around ala Richmond they are a chance. I will also be interested to see if 5 games in the dome will have an effect if it is blustery. Essendon don't seem to be handle weather very well after too many dome games.

At the moment if the Crows go all out attack they would kick 4 good goals and 26 unconvincing points, or maybe 2 goals 28 if it is blustery.

Thirty scoring shots would give any other team a half decent chance of a win, but don't bet on the Crows this week.

Port are on of the teams I always feel confident of beating

they have never been able to match up on Bruce and Neitz

plus they have never beaten us in Melbourne

Carlton v Essendon

Carlton will be on a high with the return of Norman, but the martians by 3 goals in an unconvincing scrappy contest

Melbourne v Port Adelaide

The Smears should belt the Dees, but I'm tipping the boys from Adelaide to treat Melbourne with utter contempt, be in cruise control and come from behind and do just enough for the 4 points)

West Coast v Brisbane

One of the upsets of the round. Weagles by 5 goals.

Geelong v Richmond

Billed as the battle for the priority pick. Guaranteed to be a lock in. Loser of this one to be looking for a new coach before winter. Geelong by 2 goals.

Adelaide v StKilda

The upset of the round. Carey to have his kicking boots on this weekend, burst the bubble down at Moorabbin and pi$$ of all Crows fans by getting Ayres back on the winners list. Crows by 11 points.

North Melbourne v Sydney

Can't see the Swans defence holding the Roos to a losing score. Another under rated 4 points for the Shinboners. North by 4 goals.

Collingwood v Fremantle

Pavlich by 20 points. Collingwood to hover around the bottom 4 for another week.

Hawthorn v Footscray

Unaccountable soft footy from both sides. 2 tackles laid for the entire match. Hawks by 10 points in a shoot out.

We are bound to play alot better this week as nobody other than North supporters give us a chance of winning. :p

Suits me fine. I get another crucial point in the local tipping comp.

:D

If 10 goals against an undermanned Geelong is good enough for the Swannies to win, good luck to them....:o

Essendon by 35pts
Port Adel by 35pts (payback for last season)
West Coast by 10pts
Adelaide by 2pts (Umpires to rescue Crows from 0-4 start)
Geelong by 12pts
North by 24pts
Fremantle by 18pts
Western Bulldogs by 3pts
