I wanna try and get Blakey in next week potentially if his price doesn’t skyrocket. Will be a solid mid price backman and would solidify my backline even better. But that’s all dependent on how price rises go.

Shouldn't you be in the vent thread now ? ......no stronger advocate of Stephens was there .....he'll bounce back from this hiccup ....you've gotta be true to your convictions & hold

Remember, Stephens has rock solid JS !!!!! 🤣
He was on the wing with Roarke Smith, who only had 8 touches. The ball was hardly played on that side, and when it was, it was a contest and congested.

I think his JS is fine, he'll still play a lot of games this year. He could be dropped, but he'll come back in and still make cash eventually. The issue is that after a loss, the weakest link gets dropped.

He was meant to be a quick cash grab, now he's dead. Only used 1 trade so far, so I can afford to take $80k and trade him out if he's dropped. If not, BE of around 0, he'll make a bit more cash and he may recover.

I shouldn't have put an uncontended wingman on field at Marvel, that's my fault. Ward will go 80+ against Carlton in a game with a heap of stoppages.

Anyway let's not bring rookies up...

Will probably score more, as the Medi-Sub ..than Stephens

If DStephens is dropped and O'Driscoll does well, then
-DStephens to NOD

DStephens will still have a BE of around 0, so he'll make money if he survives

If DStephens survives the cut and NOD does well, then I'll look at Ward, Gibcus, Durdin, Hough and Dixon as potential outs for NOD

I'm not getting skinner, even if he flukes a decent score, literally the slowest player in the AFL, will be straight out Clurey in a couple of weeks

Hey, don't knock slow or unfit player.

Heck - I'm getting Brodie in and he's scoring well :p

My general overview of bench players this year is to be more patient than in previous years. The reality is that so few of the pool have played enough footy in the last 2 years, that most of them are not even junior-match hardened. They will fatigue and be sore as a consequence and therefore be in and out of teams frequently. I don't think it matters who you have, they'll all go through the same processes. I am not trading any of Hough, Dixon, Mead, De Koning, for example, as I believe they'll all play many more games. Pedlar came in and got dropped again; if you brought him in leading up to last week, are you going to move him on because he was dropped this week?

l need to find a back up bench ruckman as back up..l have English and Hayes atm with no bench coverage..So a FWD/RUCK is what l am after...
Dixon should play for the Eagles this weekend because BWilliams got covid. He should be the 2nd ruck to NicNat.

Whether he plays next week, unsure, need to see
1. how he performs
2. if Darling or JJK get injured
3. if they decide to drop Waterman and play super tall

I guess to add to this, it means that rookies with job security are like gold. Hence why i think anyone who traded Ward early stuffed up majorly. Its true he hasnt scored well but with great job security and a good role it looks like in time he will post a good score, and hopefully even a few in a row. I think we've got to show a bit of restraint with the rookie roulette as like you said, they havent played enough footy in the past few years. I dont doubt that there will be enough rookies though. Astutely timing the rookie corrections/trades will be crucial.

The flipside is players such as Xerri, Berry, Brodie, Bowie, Cogs, all in that usually poisonous 200-300K range are all good scorers for their prices, will rise, some significantly so,in value and not leave your team floundering in the process. Based on the above principles I went with Nick Daicos ONLY among the high end rookies, although not fitting JHF in is already hurting me, to be fair.
