Hey guys, first timer here.

Any views on Cripps vs Green? Gonna trade one in.

Cripps is more proven but could his lower score on the weekend be a result of Walsh being back? Whilst Green has a more prominent role and is slightly cheaper

I think Hawthorn just put time into Cripps as he was the dominant player.

I’d take Cripps. If 120 is what to expect with a full Carlton midfield then that’s more than acceptable.
also, his massive ownership % reduces the damage if anything goes wrong.

Is it Adelaide posters chiming in on Rachele or?

He doesn’t look like a good pick because of role, obv being a rookie with big score fluctuations, and BE.

He’s had two sub par scores now fwiw and rnd 1 essentially does not matter through rnds 4 onwards as it only stays in the price rise range for 1 cycle.

Say his max is 250k trading him out now is still cost effective as per if your jumping on better value players say Xerri/Brodie with negative BE’s.

Rachele played on ball late in the Collingwood game, regardless of his breakeven he is still very much underpriced if he can average 65-70 from here.

Round 2 he still had 35 disposals, walsh 34. Hawks was a difficult game for cripps but he was certainly one of the best midfielders for the game. I'd take cripps.

Any thoughts on trades? I used 3 in the first week to secure Hewett and get rid of Owens, with Green being a nice by product. Had to burn Crisp and Ridley though. Just the one trade Dusty->Heeney last week. So 4 used in total inc. 1 boost.

The biggest missing piece is Cripps but I can't think of a reasonable way to get him in. Whitfield? Butters if injured?

Moving up the rankings week by week 49k->24k->14k. Should I just hold? My M8 aint great.

Any advice is appreciated.

Honestly, don't see many options for you do to get in cripps. You gonna burn too many trades and ruin your structure trying to force the cripps pick. If you are that desperate. You can do Whitfield to Driscoll and Stephen to Cripps but I DO NOT endorse that move.

Yeah, I think you are right. The ship's sailed. Cheers :thumbsu:

Currently thinking:
Marshall to Dow (via Hayes, taking on risk with Preuss to R2 Jiska )
Rachele to Hewett (via McCartin)

Hewett with second highest CBAs in a full Carlton midfield surprised me almost as much as his score after being in the 30s at half time. Wasn't keen on using a second trade but risk of not having him seems too high. Open to be convinced otherwise

Dow with a couple of 60s
The 100 really helps.
IMO this is worst case.

Idk what you guys are on about. But in previous years I was around 26 trades by this time round but I still have 33!

Yep I'm savin em! A few upgrades and sideways trades during the byes and you'll fly up.

JHF >> Green...thoughts?
You have that much $$$ in the bank?

I suppose if you're confident that Green will be a keeper and continue the 110+ scoring, then it's now or never.

Trade boost or gtfo.

Well Trades Assist was actually not bad with two trades, if a bit sideways.
Watch what happens with trade boost activated! 🤣🤣🤣

Edit. It’s actually changed from Ward to Stephens in the hour or so since I first looked.

Marshall > Preuss🤞
Stephens > Greene👍
That would be the way I'd go
Grundy is a C option this week would not even contemplate him.

Now CrozaN I will admit you are a much better Supercoacher than I will ever be but this one has me stumped. Your logic of the trade is fine but I have to disagree that these guys cash cow days are over.

Just for a bit of perspective... Rowe got to something like $320k last year and I think we can all agree that Rachele >>> Rowe any day of the week!

Hahaha thanks mate, Rachelle 42 BE is quite high, of all popular rookies his is defs the highest, well at least for me he is by quite some margin.

Now of course mate, normally i let my cows moo and moo as long as they can before ofloading, but when you see my options here for trading, Rachelle sticks out like a sore thumb and honestly, unless he busts out a 100+, his price rise in the next few weeks isn't going to be anything compared to my other options.

I am not saying trade Rach, but for me when you look at my team (i undid my trades so you can see where i am coming from):

1649128640111.png

So As you can see Rach is most obvious for me to trade for some cash generation now and then Stephens.....so as you can see they my most logical options (NOTICE BE in comparison to other rookies)

Now thats why i am thinking what i am with my trades, but by all means Stephens i would DEFINETELY keep, but by trading him and swapping B.Uwland, i upgrade him to Bowey who is a potential D6 currently and well. Not to mention Bowey is expected to rise another $60k if he scores 85-90 odd.

So i hope you see now my logic behind it.

As much as i want Green in, as you can see can't really go too deep more than i have in mids.

So at this stage (baring team selection massacre), i like this idea:
