Cox being under a cloud and Hampson out will force me into a sideways trade being Meeson out, Kreuzer in. Why the **** i got Meeson insted of West only my stupid brain knows.

I was going to do Dyson to Palmer but I'm seriously considering another sideways trade in Geary to Palmer. I see Geary becoming the next S.D.Thomspon (btw **** you Laidley) and I would rather piss him off now.

Sigh.

Stupid game.

Yeah, I'm thinking very hard about making my second trade of the year, a Geary - Palmer trade... Geary playing for 2 more weeks was a big part of my plans...

I'm playing the only real challenge in my league this week... but I'm considering just giving it away and conceding... I'll still finish top 2 regardless. Better than wasting a sideways trade to get a playing rookie backman. I have Proud, Pfeffier and Thompson. And in reality, I'm only going to lose 50 points or so, so it won't destroy my overall ranking. Am very concerned about Cox not playing though. Have Hampson and Meesen in reserve. And by god to I hate Stanton. That is all.

I am after some advice with the two trades I will make this week.

I have 278 in the cap plus

Nicoski, J Graham, S Thompson, L Hansen.

I am therefore looking at two zeroes. If I trade Nik and Graham I will have 787 to spend.

My thoughts are to bring in a gun and a rookie (say gilbee and H taylor) but am wondering if Ladson or Dodd might be better, slightly cheaper and should be capable of scoring 90+ for the rest of the year.

Or would S Selwood be better than Taylor, or NJ Brown.?

Thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

I couldn't resist upgrading Dyson to Goodwin.
I had 397000 in the bank. Tough choice between Ablet, Bartel, Judd and Goodwin.

Back Bench players are a tough one.
I have Thompson, Brown and Edwards. Might have to leave it like that for a while. Would like Selwood or Taylor, but are they going to keep playing?

What have people here done with Priddis? I had Valenti and Coughlan (I'm prepared to wait for him I think he will be great value once he gets a game) on the bench with $160,000 spare so I was tempted to trade him but wound up putting him on the bench and upgrading Valenti to Lonergan (Essendon) to avoid a zero.

Also finally moved on Lewis Roberts Thompson. His scores have been terrible (does not help he has been idiotically put in the ruck). Was tossing up between Pat Ryder, Dale Morris and Jordan McMahon and went with Morris. Also brought Kruezer in off the bench for Symmonds who could be next out. Considering bring Spanger off the bench for Sam Power also. Looking or about 2300 this week after 2050 last week with about 4 very low scores.

I'm not an (SC) fan of Roberts Thompson. Had him two years ago and he is a consistent low scorer. I don't think playing him in the ruck has really hurt him as he just never scores well.

Without being harsh to him, I think you made the right decision in trading him.

Am tossing up doing a trade with my ruckman. Currently I have Cox & Simmonds with Hampson & Renuof as emergencies. Am thinking of trading one of the emergencies for Kruezer, given that Renouf won't get a game, Hampson's just been dropped, and my 2 starters now have either form or injury question marks.

Should I go ahead with it, or is it a waste of a trade?

I don't think it would be a waste. Bowden appears to be on thin ice. Peter Burgoyne certainly isn't and will score well.

Yeah looks like I overrated him a bit. I just thought he would be pretty important for Sydney and be ok value for 300k (backmen seem way overpriced). However even if he scored 50s and 60s I would not mind but he has been around 20.

P Burgers Breakeven is 137 this. According to Walesy he will go down $16,000 and if Bowden doesn't play then his price wont change at all.
If you want Consistency maybe Milburn would be the better option?
