Need some advice please.

1 trade will be used on Zorko --> Martin

Trying to decide on 2nd trade on rookies on the bubble

Crouch (Mitchell & Kommer on bench)
or
Rowe (Currie on bench)

-Going with crouch will give me a emergency in my mids this weekend

-If i decide to go with Rowe, gives me two rookie rucks who are earning cash and lack of rookie rucks options in the next few weeks compared to more options from mid rookies coming up to trade out Mitchell/Kommer later

Any opinions or suggestions?

IMO I'd go Crouch. There's nothing worse than a fat 0 when someone is injured in the warmup and you have no emergency (hellloooooooo Beau Waters). Rowe has good job security as he's playing well and Malthouse loves him, so I'd save that for next week. Structure more important than cash I reckon in your case. Mitchell > Crouch.

I don't think Westhoff can be a forward keeper - I believe that many who jumped on him last week traded him in for the cash. The 140 in the Showdown was just a nice bonus.

If you don't have him now, the ship has indeed long since left port (no pun intended).

As stated previously, I'm not keeping Westhoff. I believe they have GCS this week, so I'd back him to score well and increase in value to above 500K. At which point, depending on injuries and other options, he'll become SJ or Franklin. At best, he'll go above 500K and I'll actually make a small amount of cash.

Given the extra trades this year, I'm effectively trading Karnezis and some of my cash and a few trades up to SJ or Franklin.

If I had my time again I would have brought him in last week, as Libba spudded it up for me. But with a negative BE, I can afford to bring in Westhoff and see how he goes. It's not something I would have risked last year...

Good plan, i think some people are not fully taking advantage of the 2 trades per week rule, and are still in the frame of mind of last years trade situation. I wouldn't have got the hoff last year as, he will not be a keeper for my mind, but with trades being so abundant, you can trade in and out premiums/mids for price rise and easier fixture. It is much more risky to do this however, but with high risk = high reward usually.

Who should i trade for kitchell? Already have omeara wines crouch viney??

At this stage Kreuzer -> Goldstein is locked in.

Kommer will also be heading out of my team and I see four options to trade him to:

1. Kommer -> Hodge + 102k
2. Kommer -> Crouch + 391k
3. Kommer -> Leunberger + 267k (Blicavs to midfield, Cox to Fwds, Rowe to Ruck)
4. Kommer -> Westhoff + 36k (Dwyer/Neade to midfield)

Option 2 and 3 are the front runners for me at this point as they allow me plenty of cash for upgrades over the next few weeks. Option 3 is especially tempting as it would mean that I would be playing 1 less rookie on the field in the short term and still give me a decent sum of cash. Blicavs would also be in the midfield where he could be swapped for a much better rookie than in the rucks. With Gawn & Daw getting named in their respective teams this week we could have downgrade options in the rucks in a few weeks that could be an option if I wanted get rid of Blicavs when he inevitably gets dropped from the Cats.

With Van Berlo out for the next month and Vince dropped as well, Crouch should stand up and take a commanding place in the Crows midfield. I honestly think his scoring will increase to at least 70ppg.

I think Option 2 is the safest root, 3 would be a great option if Leuy can stand up and deliver some 80+ performance's, and 1 & 4 offer short term gain points wise.

So what are your thoughts on this situation guys?

Crouch. I wouldn't put Blicavs anywhere near my 22, he wouldn't even make my 44.
The Westhoff ship has sailed. Hodge is actually tempting IMO, his BE is quite low. But for sure he'll dip in the short term, but could become a keeper.

Glad I jumped on the Hoff boat last week, but like many here, will trade him out as soon as he spuds it up :p

Have my eye on Cloke, think he'd be in a consistent year at a relatively cheap price

Blicavs would be merely in the team as a midfielder on the bench for two more weeks till he peaks then a shift to cox back in the rucks and a rookie mid.

That said I would probably go crouch anyway

I can't get from Crouch or Terlich to SJ or Franklin (ignore positional issues here) in 2 trades and a couple of weeks. I can with the Hoff. I've still got a heap of other issues to fix, but after I this I'll have:

Cox, Bartel, Wright, Franklin/SJ, Rockliff, JJK - Dwyer, Macaffer...

For the time being, that'll do in the forwards.... Then it's off to fix my horrible midfield...

Thanks guys.

Pretty much spot on there Ashley. Blicavs would be no chance of getting into the 22. Only reason I considered swapping him into the mids is as it would give me a chance to offload him to a better rookie option down the track. So at the moment my team looks like

B: Goddard, Heppell, Gibbs, Hibberd, Goodes, Stevenson, Pittard, Heath
M: Swan, Ablett, J.P.Kennedy, S.Selwood, Moloney, Wines, O'Meara, Viney, M.Jones, Blicavs/Crouch
R: Goldstein, Leunberger/Cox , Rowe/Blicavs , Currie
F: Bartel, Rockliff, Lewis, J.J.Kennedy, Neade, Dwyer/Cox, Rowe/Dwyer, McAffer

Green is the Crouch option, Red is the Leunberger option.

Leunberger Option makes my side look the best, but I think Crouch will be worth it in the long run.

Anyone keeping Karnezis? Is he likely to be sub again?

I'd be happy to cop his 9 if he starts averaging 70 here on out. My FWD line is the weakest part of my team and looks much better having K over Neade/Dwer/Rowe.

EDIT - I understand he's named on an extended bench, so let's just assume he plays for now.

Karny doing my head in as well. Most likely to be sub according to DTtalk.

Still sticking with Varcoe>Rowe for now. Wasn't going to take Rowe if Warnock named but my forwards are so messed up and he's the only viable cheap option at this point, also his DPP will help me drop Currie for a fwd.

As a West Coast fan, why not Callum Sinclair or Mark LeCras? Both appear to have rock solid job security and no chances of a vest, and Naitanui is still some time away. Our draw is also soft in the next few weeks.
