The boys will have gained a massive confidence boost from beating the reigning premiers, somehow we need stay in the moment. With the amount of quality outs Melbourne have,we can win this imo.

I'd say Jayden Hunt would be a better player to tag. He provides quite a lot of drive for them.

Dez! Who would you tag from your team?
Yup that the match up nearly same height also .
Petracca for me. Presents the biggest threat out of their mids
I just want to see the contest between these two if there's a loose ball within 20m of their vicinity, don't really care too much about the football tbh ;)

I'll tip Melbourne to guarantee Freo win by 100+

Srsly though, would give this 60/40 Dees way. Injuries/our abrupt ressurgence make it interesting, but I can see a few of the younger guys having quieter games and too much being left to too few. As with every game this season, evidence of attacking football and the continuing development of younger players will be enough for me.

Trac plays high half forward, doesn't play on the ball. He will in time but we have a lot of guys going through there atm and he is a legitimately good HF so he will have to wait his turn.

Looking forward to Jetta vs Walters this week, should be a legitimately good contest.

**** you for having the luxury of playing Petracca as a HF. It really does look like the tide has turned for you guys though. Could you imagine going onto any board in previous years and seeing opposition fans fiercely debating over which Melbourne mid to tag? You guys are absolutely loaded through there.

:)

Very happy with our mids as you could imagine, Brayshaw isn't even getting a game right now! If you're deciding who to tag should go with Jones, his kicking is a real weapon nowadays and he plays more outside so is an easier shutdown job than someone like Oliver.

How attacking were you guys against the Dogs? I'm intrigued to see if Lyon will be ballsy enough to open the game up, considering how we struggled to break down Carlton ironically I think your best chance this week involves some classic Lyon footy.

What's the weather forecast .If its wet I think RBT will want players that put their head over the ball ,don't take a backward step and that are as hard as a cats head in the contest . Suban just might get a late call up .
So Suban in and Balic out would be my call .

I'm going over for this game. Mate is taking me into MCG members section. It just got a whole lot more interesting after Saturday nights showing from us.
Thanks for the preview. Genuine 50/50 game for mine. Melbourne have some serious quality but with a few good ones out we are every chance.
The MCC section? I'm an MCC member. You'll love it mate, enjoy it! You probably already know this, but just make sure you wear a collared shirt to get in.

Currently cloudy forecast on saturday , Balic can play hard also . Suban can replace Ibbo if you want to or else no changes .

Melbourne's midfield is underrated. Amazingly, I think they shade us on the inside despite us having Fyfe, Mundy, Neale. They have more explosive inside midfielders who transition from inside to outside better. We probably have more size, but less pace to burst out of the pack. We however have better wingers. Our run on the outside is devastating. Hill, Hill, Langdon, Sheridan put in serious km's. With Vince carrying a toe injury and Lewis suspended I think we have the edge here. Jones playing outside may abate this, but that should tip the inside mids in our direction. Spencer is underrated, he's got size and aggression. Won't be as easily pushed around asCampbell was, though a fired upon Sandilands is hard to quell.

Both teams have better mids than their other lines.

He'll have to, we have attacking players now Weller, Langdon, Crozier, Brady et al.
The supporters are demanding a more attacking play, otherwise they won't turn up.
We'll be up for this game, no doubt.

Jones is probably in career best form so he'd be one I look at, Hunt provides a lot of run and direct play so he's another one to consider.

I wouldn't be surprised if Oliver gets extra attention, he doesn't kick a lot but if you can limit his clearance work that would go a long way to stopping us.

Blakely just had a good game against Bontempelli, so he's coming off a high base.

From what I get from Ross Lyon presser he will bring back the tag , but with how the game go with different damaging players from other team , I don't think Blakely will be the long term tagger , occasionally players like sherriden and grey will be the tagger depend on opposition most damaging players. (Small, tall, skill, speed)

It's going to be an interesting game, wish I wasn't flying home that weekend.

Melbourne should have put away Geelong, and you have to wonder if we can have the same Q1 intensity. Big test.
