Having Gresh AND Higgins in this team is seriously undervalued. The 2 have elite goal sense, Higgins is also a very good lead up forward and Gresh is a beast around contests. Add Butler in there with his speed and pressure. King has matured. All of a sudden this forward line looks better than it has in like, 7/8 years maybe? If we can tighten up our backline a smidge more we are suddenly a good team.

Good win, got it done, think we will need more run in the last quarter against better opposition. Would hope Connolly and Byrnes are seriously looked at for inclusion next week.

Higgins, Sinclair, Steel and Crouch :thumbsu:

So GCS as a club match very well v us player wise, same sort of strength and weakness points except we've a much better forwardline than what they've produced, so this was always to me going to be a who had midfield and how much resistance sort of deal.

Fair to say, we had them at arms length in about 80% of play since clearance kinda evened out turnover but turnover was due to us rushing due to them pressuring mostly.

This was a game for smalls and winning the contest at ground level then spreading from as opposed to traditional hit the KPF, more just weight of numbers, so on that instance, great even performance really, but especially that mid grouping after what GCS did v Blues much vaunted smoke up arse guys.

Jweb > Long
Jones > Windy
Billings > Wood
Ryder > Hayes
Clark > NWM/Lienert

These are the changes we can expect in the coming weeks potentially, I would love for NWM to stay though. We’re playing so well, it’s going to be hard to drop players and hard for players to crack in to.
