Bartel is immune to the Sydney curse.

Scored 60 in less than a half against them last year @ SS.

If he's held to less than 20 possies he'll make it up with 15 tackles.

Exactly, It doesn't matter who he plays at skilled stadium he will always dominate.

If he doesn't get 30 disposals he will get 12 tackles or maybe even both.....

Carlton are very inconsistent, but if they can continue to play like they did vs Collingwood any gun from the Blues is a good choice. They have a new gameplan which involves high disposal and marking.

It's always going to be a risk but Waite / Thornton are good value since they chip it around so often.

Interesting to note Carlton had:

  • 8 players over 100 on the weekend
  • 11 over 90
FWIW I would never select Fev as Captain, the nature of how he plays means he gets limited disposal and can give away a few free's, last week was probably one of the best games he has played and scored 103 so there is much margin for decline.

i know he doesn't play for geelong but its interesting that juddy averages his best dt scores against sydney. i guess what i'm saying is don't neccisarilly shy away from your geelong guns just because of sydney.

I think the top 3 are Carazzo, Kornes, Riewoldt as they should all dominate but i have none of them will Cross take the tag this week or will Cooney and others have it sewing up

thinking p burg for me, can see it being a very open flowing affair against the eagles at subi, and shouldnt see a tagger.

does that bloke still do the best captain options post each week?

I'm probably going the chad this week, that shambles that the eagles call a forward line should provide plenty of easy marks and kicks.

Those going against Cats players should know these two facts:

1) Chapman's last 3 scores against the Swans: 102, 104, 111
2) Joel Corey's last 3 scores against Sydney: 106,115, 79
*Most recent scores listed first.

Yeah I saw that too. Geelong dont seem to suffer from the curse as much as other teams. Will probably stick with Corey again this week. :thumbsu:

Who would you pick out of the cornes brothers? both are gonna get over 100 so it dont really matter. i reckon chad could get someone on him but has had the better form.

i would say

1. bartel/corey
2. cornes brothers
3. cross (west still out right?)/ murphy/carrazzo
4. hayes
5. h shaw/reiwoldt/b johnson etc.

There are no sure things in DT....
I don't know if I'm too concerned about who's on them but rather who they're on.... Kane might tag so I'm going Chadley.
