Wombat hasn’t even got any purple.

Last year we stayed over and lost both games.

What we haven't done is win both games when we do the trip and stay for the next round rather than return to Perth between games which is what the expectation is with Richmond and Melbourne for those who like to take it more than one game at a time.

There's the gather round games and there was an earlier time when we had to play Carlton away for a 2nd time, twice in the same year, where we did the stayover week.

(This is apart from the games where we stayed for weeks up on the Gold Coast)

Technically only the Carlton game was gather round. The year before we also played Adelaide and stayed for a week. Again technically only GCS was gather round. Gather round as the name suggests is one single round…not two rounds. The games before or after vs Adelaide and Port were not part of gather round.

I was more referring to record of staying away and playing two games on the road. The record isn't good.

No as I mentioned in another thread Will Brodie was the sub. The game was 2023. Sharp only joined us in 2024.

Will Brodie came on and his sub cameo was brilliant. Not sure why he hasn’t been used more as a sub. I can understand with his tank and inability to get repeatedly to contests not playing whole game but bringing a fully fit Brodie for the final quarter is a potential weapon. As it was in that game.

Yeah that was 3 losses in a row. But you know what I'm referring to when I'm talking two games on the road without a return home. The expectation this week is we'll just roll through Richmond and Melbourne next week, but we haven't done it before.

I just don’t think there’s a big enough sample size to assume it actually has any bearing on the results

The team we've fielded looks strong, they should be doing plenty of damage tomorrow, I'm worried about how Darcy will pull up, but there's only one way to find out, let's hope he pulls through. I think Young and Switkowski on the other hand will be fine.
