Perhaps we've learnt how to learn after all our learnings...Phillips and Hibberd after only one loss? I think we're actually learning. Usually takes 8 rounds to make a change.

And assuming we don't play Hibberd as a key defender and Phillips at HB.Assuming these aren’t forced changes
I wonder if having players training on different lines (and some not training at all) is to do with avoiding the situation we almost had with McKenna where we have an entire position group in quarantine if we happen to have a positive test.Open training video has them training in line groups.
Midfield (and ruck) doing ball handling drills: Phillips, Hibberd, Langford, Shiel, Smith, Parish, Ham, McGrath, Snelling (9)
Forwards doing goal kicking: McKernan, Zaharakis, Walla, Townsend, Cahill, Stringer, Clarke (7)
Defence: Hurley, Saad, Guelfi, Ridley, Fantasia (5)
21 players visible in the video, but no Francis, Hooker, Merrett, Laverde, Mosquito, Bellchambers, Redman, Gleeson, Zerk-Thatcher, McKenna.....
Guessing it's the 22 plus the 4 emergencies that are meant to be training, less anyone who is on a light training load because reasons?
Training in those particular lines is interesting if true. We know that Hibberd and Phillips are playing this weekend. We know that Merrett is not. Fantasia makes sense as a quad is a kicking injury, so they're probably keeping him away from the goalposts. Clarke makes sense because his kicking is sh*te and they probably want him to practice! But the others...
That would make sense if they were seriously out of position, but most of them are where you'd expect them to be. If you knock out the 'midfield' group that's the first choice midfield gone, and also the second choice midfield. You'd be left with Stringer, Clarke, Zaharakis as your mids.I wonder if having players training on different lines is to do with avoiding the situation we almlst had with McKenna where we have the entire position group in quarantine with positive test.

They’re worried that he has t done enough running and that he’d be a likely candidate for a soft tissue injury if he playedI don’t understand why you wouldn’t bring McKenna in.

I’m guessing but maybe because they’ve been playing Tom Phillips forward for some reason and they believe zaharakis can sit on him and it’s not too bad of a match up.Like we have 9 AFL standard defenders (not putting BZT in there yet). 6 of them are playing. 2 of them are injured. Since we typically play 7 defenders, why wouldn't we pick him?
