Do you have to trade someone in for the loophole to work?

If I make Swan vice, substitue Roughead in the ruck for Currie who won't get a game and make Currie Captain, making Roughead emergency I'd still get the captain points from Swan right?

Right?
That is correct. I'm doing this with Moller (my ruck 4)

Did I dun goof in trading Viney -> Burgoyne to Defence (Vlastuin emergency in midfield) and Neade -> Mayes

Kind of wanted to bring in Cloke or Stevie J but kind of decided to keep Bartel as he's a champion.

What do you guys think?

I rate it. A lot of people are still trying to milk rooks but imo if you have balanced team like you do, it's time to start shifting into some premo's. One question, and it's one that I'm trying to answer as well - Macaffer or Neade as the trade out option for Mayes? Who has better JS in the short to medium term?

"Vlastuin, the pick No.9 of the 2012 NAB AFL Draft, shapes as a likely replacement for small defender Steven Morris, who has accepted a one-game suspension for engaging in rough conduct against Collingwood's Jamie Elliot."

Had him in my team thinking he would have played earlier! Think its worth getting him in again or he may only play the one game!

i hope an expert can clarify this up for us, but yes i think that's how it works.

I have Vlastuin since the beginning of time, wasting away on my bench, finally he's coming good!

It's right, someone already answered him up the top of the page.

well for the Port players, you either had them in your team from the start after eyeing off their easy draw, or you forget about them IMO. They have had 2 big price rises each, so now is not the time to buy them. Im betting on them hitting a wall when they get some decent opposition.

even this round I have reversed trades with both the hoff and cornes. I know it's wrong but I can't help fiddling with it...
When I get my head straight I know it would be madness to trade the Hoff in to your team over Buddy at this stage. Its a long season.

I traded away Buddy for the Hoff before his bubble burst. Will trade Hoff out for Buddy when he spuds it up, and pocket a nice little profit :)

I think most people are working on this as well. As soon as the Hoff has a bad round and his BE becomes unobtainable - he'll become Buddy...

That was my original plan (though it wasn't to Buddy, but to someone else) but given the lack of forward premiums are the moment its not outside the realms of possibility to keep him long term.

Maybe trade at the MBR's but since Port have a first round bye its not as valuable a trade out since you will always be trading to someone with an upcoming bye.

That said, if someone like a Rockliff, Bartel, SJ etc... reaches a price where I cant refuse and I don't have a cow worth culling then yes, the Hoff can definitely go, but not for at least 3 weeks IMO...

I don't know what to do with Crouch now. If he comes back in 2-3 weeks he might be the sub. This has thrown a few things out of wack.
I'd say he will most likely be the sub unless you guys have any other underdone players coming back as well? Maybe Van berlo around the same time. Not sure if they would risk bringing both back in the same match though or is Crouch a scheduled back a week before VB?

Stants named to start at halfback. Don't know if that actually has any significance, but I like that a lot.
