I think after the shocking start to the season and going backwards, we've made it back to last year's form...good, but not good enough.

The Good: The efforts of Beefcake Moloney, Chapman and Mooney. It's great to see the tough nuts of our team getting a lot of the ball, especially since we seem to have a lot of lightly-built running players like Ablett, Mackie, Wojcinski, Tenace and Bloody Stupid Johnson.
The Bad: We need a ruckman. Simple as that. Mooney and Playfair are doing a fair job, Chambers has a big heart and no talent, but they're no more than pinch hitters. We need Gumby at CHB, the big H at Full forward and Chambers as backup ruck.
Funny moment: Seeing Joel Corey win a hitout against Aaron Sandilands.
Heartbreaker: Running out of puff in the last five minutes and letting Freo off the hook.

I must admit I was very impressed with his precision; his kicks land perfectly in front of the leading forward, allowing him to take a grab without giving the defender much of a chance. The only query is that he just needs to punt it a little more, as some balls were scrappy or a little flat. Yet I am confident Mackie can work on this area and deliver Akermanis-esque passes into the forward line
