Petch had kicked our entire score at half time.
And your entire score was 2.2. Is he supposed to get more credit because the rest of your forward line took the night off?

Take out the one Petrucelle got from a holding the man call because he fumbled when Burton was tackling him and they kicked one each in the first half when the game was there to be won. Drew was better when the game was on the line, Petrucelle was better in junk time.

If you class ‘cheapies’ as someone starting behind their opponent and burning them off to create an opportunity for a goal then I ‘d hate to see what you consider an actual Joe the goose.
Insecure much? He played a good game, however you can argue that others did more when the game was on the line. That's all I'm saying

There's also the fact that by the time he kicked over half of those goals the game was all but over.

The game was there to be won in the first half. Drew had a much more influential first half than Petrucelle did.
The game was never ‘on the line’.

What’s more impressive;
A young guy stat padding in a crushing victory or a young guy being the only avenue to goal for their entire team from very limited opportunities?

Bit different if he was in the goalsquare all night getting handballs for cheap goals over the top.

I’d say running half the field to actually create an opportunity for his team multiple times is much more impressive.

Goals dont. Every goal that is scored has the same value: Six points.

Imagine if Stacks kicked 5 goals. Richmond fans would be alerting the Vatican about the second coming of Christ
Kind of like WCE supporters when Nic Nat was nothing but 5 minutes of flash in his first 5 years but you guys were doing the same? That kind of alerting?

Drew had the highest amount of pressure acts for our team. He also had the equal second highest amount of tackles for our team.

It was Drew's contribution that made it a crushing victory. He was an integral cog in the machine.

Stat padding. Pffft.

If Petr wasn't a weagles player he wouldn't be arguing so vehemently

Sure, he had a good game and will be a worthy recipient soon but it’s a hell of a lot easier to look good in an easy win than perform to a high level when getting flogged with minimal opportunity.

Doesn’t matter, he got the nod this week. Don’t honestly know why I even care about random port and Richmond supporters opinions anyway.

If lightning speed gets you space in the forward 50 and easy goals, that's no fluke. Now he's adding composure he'll be a very valuable player long term in my view.
Passes the "eye test" for me often starts behind his opponents and just burns them off with blistering pace while they chase and try to apply pressure, not like he is just sitting by himself in the 50 with no opponent, or in the goal square waiting for the hand ball over the top.
