I just can't bring myself to trust Sicily again. How long before he's thrown forward and punching out the odd 40 and 50 again. Daniel's low ownership % and consistency is pretty appealing, even though he's a bit more expensive.
Sicily is an up and down player scoring wise regardless but just wanted to clear up the Sicily forward fear. IT WONT BE SEEN AGAIN. Last year he was thrown forward as an absolute last resort. Roughead was dropped, OBrien hadn't kicked a single goal for the season and Mitch Lewis was a late draft pick doing just ok in the VFL.
Clarko didn't want to take an AA level defender and throw him forward but we had absolutely no one on the list that looked capable and looked lost with no target.
Supposedly this is the time we went and spoke to Patton as it was easily the biggest hole on the list. So Sicily went forward, clearly didn't want to play there and was terrible! Fwd and backline was worse.
Tried Mitch Lewis instead and he looked great and we started winning games. OBrien went fwd too and blossomed, kicking 13 goals in the last 5 games. we had to fulfil our promise to Patton and now we have too many key forwards to pick (3 players and only 2 spots). Even Gunston has been pushed back. Also recruited Frost to free Sicily to play 3rd man.
TLDR: No way Sicily is played forward again.
