From what everyone’s saying he’s had a poor game, in a team that was thumped, slowly building his fitness (Serpells MO) and has still managed 23.

Gee some overreactions here. This is going to happen to both our VFL and AFL teams this year.. we will have blow outs on occasion and is all part of the development curve. It's how they respond next week which will be the interesting thing.

Good to see Batch being pretty hard in his post match assessment and calling out the lack of effort.

Was fawcett on for 4q and had 2p , I suppose it looked like we only had 10 i50s so probable

Got a whack in the head. Ended up with stitches but no concussion and came back on. Sounds like Tony Lockett would have struggled to get a kick playing in our forward line yesterday.

Just to put this result into perspective, the VFL pre season predictions by some "experts" were that we would be finishing bottom 4 so sitting on 3 wins from 5 games is still pretty decent. I still think we will finish well out of finals contention by seasons end.

R1 we beat Coburg who are sitting 14th by 13pts
R2 we beat Sandy who are sitting 18th by 6pts
R3 we beat Lions who are 12th by 22pts
R4 touched up by Frankston who are 10th by 25pts

We really haven't played anyone good.

With so many players coming in and out, minutes being managed, players missing junks of games so they can be held over for AFL...... VFL results are going to be all over the place. That you can be sure of.

Yes. And this is why the VFL has lost credibility. Fixture is a joke and teams not fielding their best sides at all times.
