What options do they have though? Maybe KK, Garlett and Stretch to add a bit of polish/pace, but overall they’re not very good players. It would be great if they played all of Viney, Lewis and Jones again.

I think Melbourne’s biggest issue right now is their midfield is one paced and they play such unaccountable football. As soon as the ball is on the outside they get completely torched. Add in the fact their two key defenders are Oscar McDonald and Sam Frost and they are in real strife when the ball comes in fast. They desperately need Lever and May in their side. Even Vandenberg is underrated. He tackles hard and actually works his backside off when they don’t have the ball.

I remember being worried last year that Melbourne would bounce back after getting thumped by Hawthorn the week before we played them. They didn’t. I’d much rather run into them when they’re horribly out of form. When they’re brimming with confidence they can be a very good side.
I think they need to drop Preuss as it’s not working for Gawn at the moment and the whole point of two ruckman was to leverage their midfield advantage. I expect him to come out for a back man and a midfielder go out for a small. Not sure where Garlett is at but you’d imagine he’d be sitting back, like the fleet of foot version of the One Eyed Man in the land of the Blind.

I wish i was as confident about this game as some of you guys are and the dee's supporters about Richmond winning

For some reason the melbourne games are really difficult for me to gauge and keep thinking that this mob will pull out some sh!t against us and win the unexpected game.

We just need to play 4 quarters without going to sleep and we will win comfortably imo . We will be to quick for shemons imo .

IF - and i don't agree with it but IF - Balta is out .... the answer to the 2nd ruck is .... whoever is playing on them follows them into the ruck. If Preuss doesn't play - this works even betterererererer. So if it is Tom McDonald that relief rucks - Arsebury would have to go into the centre.

I think only option as i never want to see Jack in a centre ruck dual again.

Hey crew, due to the trains from my area being completely cooked. My mates and I are going into richmond a little bit earlier than usual. What's a good pub near the ground to have some pre-game drinks? Cricketers arms is a classic but always packed. Is the london tavern a decent choice?
London, All Nations, Sporting Globe are my choices in Richmond.

Is this for real?
Ridiculous if Bolton out
How so? People are ridiculous if they wanted anyone out besides him.

He is our worst performed player. That's what happens when you have depth. Players miss out.

On a side note, Melbourne's changes look good. I didn't want Garlett in.
