He just has that little bit of something special all the other small forwards simply don't have. Do we want a small forward capable of kicking bags and setting others up? He's the only small forward capable of it.
If George had come out instead of Bolton I can almost guarantee that Melbourne would get a tonne of their scores from rebound 50’s.

However this way, if the ball is coming out of our forward 50 too much George, Rioli and Higgins will have the microscope firmly pointed their way.

Garlett the kind of player that always kills us. Dunno why the Wagners were even in at all before, so dropping them is good for Melbourne.

Their team more closely resembles what it should have been from the start of this year.
I get that but they also only have 1 key back and their entire backline is slow on top of that. Hore is going to have to take riewoldt, whoever takes caddy/dusty is going to be desperately overmatched.

Their forward line is certainly more dangerous now, but i have complete trust in our defenders to make it hard on them.

The key is our pressure, cant allow them to get free run out of the midfield.

Haven't got the greatest feeling about this game tbh, Melbourne need it so much more.
They needed to win badly last week and still got belted. I really can't see them winning the way they are playing, their shithouse backline, lack of defensive effort and terrible kicking into their forward line play right into our strengths.

Bolton has kicked 5 goals in 11 matches yet is capable of kicking bags the others can't?

Castagna is coming off back to back 26 goal seasons and people judge him as our worst small forward. Let's judge Bolton on what he actually produces not what we think he can produce. Overrated from day one IMO.

Bolton has been superb.
Our worst performing player wears No 11.
Superb is a bit strong I think. Solid but everyone else was at least solid or better in the last two games. He had some flashy moments but that wont keep you in this Tigers team.

Castagna certainly wasn't anywhere close to missing the team on last weeks performance. Our best defensive forward by a mile in my eyes.

Think Bolton could be better tbh.

Yet he'll probably get traded back to WA after the season for a 3rd round pick, another wasted 1st round draft pick lol
Wasn't a first rounder. Went pick 29 which happened to be our first pick in 2016.

Ellis. Been serviceable the last couple but we all know he will fold when the intensity gets turned up again as he has more than a few times now. Give Bolton a chance on the wing
Im one of his biggest critics but he has been fantastic lately
