Effort: non Existent.

That’s all.

I did most of my melting in real life.

Also Adelaide were very good today. We were not.

Lonie injures sucks too.

Bring on Carlton in round 10 coz based on today we will not be winning the next three.

I thought you guys played pretty well, unlucky to cop injuries during the game. Crows just too good in the contest and clearances.
This is it in a nutshell. We played very patchy but couldn’t get transition through the middle. Midfield woeful for us; spectacular for you.

Roma out was huge. Longer despite playing one of his better game still doesn’t give enough and we got flogged out of the middle.

Lonie going down really hurt us, hopefully Youngy can come in a and give us something.

I’ve said it previously, we need tall. Bruce was sore and Membrey copped way too much attention. Joyce in, Battle forward.

Plenty for the coaches to contemplate. Poor players, poor selection, poor tactically. Had no answers in the last quarter.
Did well to cling on to 3qtr time.
Were parker and long the only forwards to take a contested mark? Because it sure felt like it.

Positive - PARKER

Positives:

Battle’s best game in defence, really owned his spot. Unfortunately he will probably be forced to move forward next week.
Parker had a brilliant game, although quiet in the fourth.
Paton once again great composure.

Negatives:

Billy Longer, everything.
Kent, couldn’t back up last week.
Lonie’s injury.
Clearance, clearance, CLEARANCE
Tex kicking 4 and thinking he’s decent.
Making the same mistake as last year and playing underdone players.
Allowing the margin to go from 11 at 3QT to 42 at one point.

I knew my anxiety was warranted, I knew it would be like the Essendon game in 2016. As soon as I saw Marshall out I knew it would be a bad day.

Lost it in q1. Kick 6.3 and we have all the momentum and make it tough to come back.
Straight kicking wins games.
Injuries aren’t ideal - poor lonedog.
So many passengers today but credit to the crows, they played us like a fiddle and ran away with 2 5 goal quarters.
Disappointing but honestly I expected us to be 1-5 at this stage prior to season commencing.
All hinges on our response against gws.
Let’s see what we’re made of.

First, have to say we would all have taken 4/2 at the start of the year. We would all have taken 5/1 if we knew Carlisle was out, Steven missing a few, Roberton gone, McCartin likely gone and Hannas not played a game.

Today was disappointing but I felt the players had a crack and were just short in the end as injuries caught up to us. Marshall a huge loss, Lonie likewise given his form and Bruce was clearly not 100%.

Add to that Billings and Acres had poor to average games and we did well to stay within 5 goals.

For me, I'll accept it as a good effort but circumstances caught up with us.

What I think the club and supporters and sponsors cannot continue to accept is our completely inept goal kicking. It is simply not acceptable for highly paid footballers to continually miss goals that most school boy footballers can kick with their eyes closed. It is time for the club to draw a line in the sand on that.
