With our defence lifting, we need our forward line to start rocking up the party, both in the air and on the ground. Zurhaar needs to come in, and not get outmarked by Ryan or Cox. On the ground we just need to find a winner who can hold it in, theyve got pace in their back line and itll fling out swiftly.

McKay vs Taberner will be a great battle, wouldnt read much about it but I'd have these two in my side vs a shite load of more high profiled pretenders.

Given injuries and players that need to be managed there could be plenty of changes. But who is ready and knocking on the door for a place? There are players holding their spot right now because there are no alternatives. Lets hope they can improve through the game time.

I guess for ins you have three types:

- senior players returning from injury - LDU / Zurhaar
- mature players available after getting fitness back - Garner / Xerri
- Next Group players pushing for selection - Maybe McGuiness at a stretch

Then I guess you look at the outs:

- senior players unavailable - Hall / Lazarro*
- underperforming players - Mahony, Hayden, Lazarro*
- Stop gap players to be rotated out - Campbell
- immature bodies needing rest - Lazarro* / Phillips

I don't think you need massive changes but going to Perth may have some influence?

Can never have enough midfielders, all the good sides rotate 7/8 blokes through there. Though I do agree he’s pretty one dimensional otherwise

Also, I think it’s handy to give Tyson games to protect the young players. Yes their development means they should get games regularly but there’s nothing wrong with rests here and there to ensure that the kids don’t get overloaded.

B: Bonar - McKay - Atu
HB: Ziebell - Walker - Young
C: Lazarro - LDU - Powell
HF: Stephenson - Campbell - Thomas
F: Zuuhar - Larkey - Turner
R: Goldy - Cunners - Jy

Int: Phillips - Scott - Taylor - Atley - (Tyson)

Do not want to see Mahoney or Hayden anywhere near the seniors again for a while. They could benefit from a stint in VFL. Scott is skating on thin ice for me though. Xerri I think could benefit from another week shouldering the primary ruck duties in the VFL. I thought Campbell showed a bit more to earn a reprieve for another week. I think Atu showed enough for his first outing to continue getting games as that lockdown defender while McDonald is out. Considered Tyson for Scott, or Tyson for Atley but in the end opted against it. Ideally we need another mature body in the midfield rotation though.

You’d think/ hope there would be a win amongst those games.

Reality/ chances of us winning a game this season I still think are unlikely.

I don’t know where our next win will come from....

Pretty sure Scott won't get dropped but he would want to bounce back after yesterday.

In: Xerri, Garner, LDU, Zurhaar
Out: Campbell (omitted), Hall (inj), Lazzaro (inj), Hayden (omitted)

Campbell wasn't awful but X has earnt a go. Mahoney lucky there is nobody to replace him or he'd be having a spell as well.

Ldu and Zurhaar the most likely to return.
I am sorry but I think we have looked much better without Zurhaar in the team. I know he is still likely to be back in but I hope he has had a long hard look at himself.

I think Dom deserves another chance in the seniors, especially against a tough Freo midfield
He's not even tough...got annihilated by Ports mid in Round 1. Enough is enough with Dom, we've got 10 years of data on what type of player he is and thats just a very handy VFL player. I don't want to see him in the Seniors again.
