It should be one senior in, one out if possible until the senior players lift their respective games. Duggan on thin ice surely. Talk about disappointing

Play Kelly forward if need be , allow the younger players midfield time.
If all goes bad then swing Kelly into the midfield when needed .
Fixed, easy.

Disappointed to hear TK is a likely in. He was dropped for being underwhelming in the seniors, and so far he's been underwhelming in the 2s.

I understand that he is a senior mid and we need the experience, but we shouldnt be rewarding mediocre performances with game time. If you want senior experience then roll a few blokes through the middle.

First wrong-footed step from Mini IMHO.

Waiting with anticipation, the melts on the changes thread are nearly as entertaining as the game day ones, probably better as on game day I'm too busy melting to get full value.

Who said he was underwhelming in the 2's?

The coach said he doesn't judge by stats, it's other things he's looking for (presumably work ethic, defensive running etc)
Coach said Kelly trained well in the Wafl and went about it the right way in the Wafl game, the way he attacked that game on the weekend..was good'

So the coach is not seeing it as rewarding mediocre behaviour, but seeing it as Kelly ticking the boxes, doing enough of what was required of him, seeing that Kelly understands that vs. clearly needing a senior experienced player back in the mid.

The other senior players rolled through the midfield aren't of the same quality as Kelly on a good day, probably on a poor day as well?

im not fussed either way if he comes in or not. We desperately require someone of his calibre in the side, but he was dropped to work on a few things (possibly find form too).

you dont just find that form in 1 game, i think bringing TK back straight away would be a kneejerk reaction and does his and the teams long term goals a disservice.

im sick of the mixed messaging from the list committee, just pick a ****ing stance and ****ing stick to it.

Also Tim Kelly sucks now guys. If you think TK coming back in to be a link up guy / run out the game as opposed to just getting in another young mid ‘helps us’ you’d be wrong. Like helps us do what? Set an example of just cruising about and maybe, maybe shaving a touch off our losing margins?

Unless he injects far more enthusiasm and consistent two way effort into the side I think it’s actually a worse example for the young guys right now if you play him. If he does get a recall and dishes up similar I truly hope it’s a revolving door back down to the WAFL where I hate to say it - he currently belongs

The young guys really look up to him and said he did a good job in the Wafl, unreal leadership they said!...but we won't let facts get in the way of opinions.

If he is brought back to play and plays badly (like many others recently), sure back to the Wafl.

Can’t picture the young guys at any club coming out publicly to say ‘Nah insert senior player is slacking’. Hardly proves as fact he is inspiring the group right now. Plus I have eyes, so I know he is playing like mud

Okay then, guessing at this arvo’s announcement

In: Gov, Kelly, Brockman
Out: Brock, Allen (managed), Davis

Sub: Brockman
Emergencies: Cole, Brock, Davis

Gov for Brock
Kelly back into the middle, Hutch and maybe Gross to spend more time forward
Brockman for Davis as sub, Davis to get a full WAFL game.

Hewett back through the WAFL.

No drastic changes.

Did your eyes catch any of the game against Subi?

Shouldn't be judging a player without knowing what he brings and contributes and what expectations the coach has of him. We do only have one senior midfielder

Good to have him out there is way different as a comment to 'unreal leadership'. Thats significant in a very young team that also lacks leadership.
