Duggan should become a Cameron Ling type. I don't think he is capable of doing anything else if he's not playing HB.

He could make a decent defensive half forward given he is still among the fittest players on our list and knows a little about defensive structures. Best place to try and hide him for the next few years, kicking the odd snag might just see him enjoy his footy again too.

For those keeping track at home yes that means you know what. We need and more accountable new look up forward with these smalls so that every sides back 6 who isn't playing on Waterman and Oscar isn't just an automatic extra number across the entire field. Ryan is almost too good to play in our forward line at this point, could do a lot worse than playing him as a centre.

Forward line of Baker, Duggan, Kelly with one of Hewett, Reid, Petch, Champion bringing the firepower. Plus Waterman, Allen, and a resting Reid/Williams. Do this, and our ability to lock it in forward half, make opposition 6's accountable, and support the midfield goes up imo.

I still have that image of Duggan standing next to a Carlton player demanding the ball off owies when he burst through the players circled and kicked his goal.

He looked pretty pissed owies ignored him then gave him a cursory tap on the head in celebration.

I mean who the **** Does owies think he is, when the captain demands the ball you give it to him even if he is going to get tackled straight away.

His forward craft is elite among our small forward stocks, reads the ball off hands better than anyone in the side and his one handed groundball pickups are also sex. As we saw today, didn't deserve to be dropped over others who are diabolically bad. He was obviously tagged in the GWS game and his clearances and contested possessions were still high despite low overall possession. This team just went out and had one of the all time lowest possession games, let's not pretend 14 possessions at AFL level or 20 and a goal at WAFL level is not above average for this side.

Jesus Christ. Kelly WAS NOT TAGGED against GWS. He was just shit. Like he was in that WAFL game he played on Friday night.
