Just another example of an experienced AFL player not knowing the rules.
He was taking a free kick for deliberate out of bounds. So as soon as he set foot back in the field of play he should have known the umpire would call play on.
Instead he looked surprised the player on the mark was rushing forward at him and hence he just panic kicked it straight out on the full. Was a very poor moment of footy awareness at a critical time in a tight game.
