there's still time to do something about that. I considered watching tonight on mineral water, what with my new health thing and a bike and all, but I broke 15 minutes ago and its too late to reverse now. Hell, I figure I have notched up about a million health credits in the last few days so I figure I can get decently drunk and it doesn't count.
As a cyclist aren't you supposed to get plenty of carbs in? Beer has plenty of those 👍

A new strategy is required. I suggest playing 15 backmen with only Frost , Garlett and Hunt forward of backline. Crazy kick forward and let the footrace begin.
I support this. Also with the 6-6-6 thingy you get double the footraces with the forwards doing a mad sprint downfield after every centre bounce. It would be good. Plus we should forbid Hunt and Frost ever kicking the ball unless it's a barrel. And I want to see Lockhart or whoever he is spending at least 25 percent of the match in the ruck, during which time Gawn also has to observe the barrel rule.

Thanks to you I've just devoted half a minute to wondering about the opposite of a well oiled machine. I think it would probably be a rusted statue.
That is actually the perfect way to describe our first 5 games.

Actually - adding up the total of everything I have seen this year demons wise, I wouldn't actually be deeply surprised if we lost this one by a hundred.

Something is going very wrong. I hope the something turns out to be a someone, because you can sack someones in an effort to recover.

Anyway Go Dees and all that. I'm sure its going to be splendid. I'm going to watch from home and eat my spaghetti. I feel a bit bad about it but I can't face a 70 thousand strong screaming tigers horde tonight.

One thing that is good about this. I was scratching around for a new interest to keep me positively occupied what with the footy season going to shit and all, and I bought a bike and have taken up cycling. I should have done this 20 years ago. Excellent fun. Though I would appreciate someone who is a bit cycley letting me know if the thing with your arse killing you goes away after a while.

If someone could keep posting entertainingly through this tonight it might help me through. Gifs, cat videos or whatever. I'm not fussy.
PG,
My type of cycley is not the usual Melbourne style with the Lycra etc. but I ride bikes everyday and haven't owned a car for 10+ years so I'm some kind of cycley. The thing with your arse won't change until you change your seat. All complete bikes are specced with the assumption that the seat will be replaced with something that fits the individual immediately. I don't know what kind of bike you have or what kind of cycling you're doing but there are tons of really good options available. These brands are all very good at covering materials/ riding style/ budget and are readily available.

Fabric: Great seats with alot of options to fit your bike and riding style. Heavier materials are very reasonably priced. Lightweight materials (titanium)
can be expensive.

Selle Royal: Huge range of seats to fit every possible arse/bike combo. Reasonably priced and readily available.

Brooks: A bit trendoid and expensive but another company with a massive range of options. Best known for their leather seats but also have non dead animal options. This would be the only style of seat that will be more comfortable over time as they are designed to mold to your buttocks.

Anyway, good luck with your cycling. I reckon it's by far the best way to get around. Fast enough to go places yet slow enough to have a good look around.

I envy you having spaghetti tonight. Tuesday is my spaghetti night and I usually eat and drink enough to fall asleep quick smart. Would come in very handy tonight.

Hopefully if Tmac goes back Fritta can play forward or on the wing to hit up a few forwards hes wasted down back. Should be taking hangers in front 1/2 then grass burners hitting Petracca straight in the face so he can fumble it 3 or 4 times b4 completely missing the goal

Thanks. I did wonder if looking into changing the seat might be the go. I'm definitely not lycra-clad Melbourne road bike type (they frighten me, and occasionally piss me off - the bay suburbs are literally crawling with them each weekend) but I like the enjoying rolling around anywhere and looking around. I don't drive at all so it gives you a bit of freedom.

Sounds like TMac will start back with how Goodwin just reacted
Well going by what Chaplin said Mcdonald will start up FWD and Hore will take Riewoldt. I really just don't understand Melb team selection at times.
Solid reports from you both.

Care to show your working? As in what did the two coaching masterminds say?

Actually I forgot about 666. However upon reflection I think we ignore it and stay with our 15 man backline. One of 2 things happens. We give up a free kick at every centre bounce but springboard back to the 3 speedy amigos OR even better the opposition man up on our players and the umps don't know who to give a free to. This has the added advantage of destroying one of the AFL rule changes. ...Of course I was taking the pssss but the more I reflect upon it the more I like it. The commentators heads would also explode which can't be bad.

At some point we will surely turn things around. Who knows when and to what extent.

But there is absolutely zero reason to believe that it will be tonight. I watched the Tigers @ Port game a couple of weeks back when they were missing their 'Big 4' and Houli (I think) and as expected, they played virtually the same as they did with those guys. In addition to having some great players they are the definition of a sporting 'well oiled machine'. I'm not sure what the opposite of a 'well oiled machine' is, but that's exactly what we are right now.
A rust encrusted demon.

Also with the 6-6-6 thingy...
genuine question- what is the penalty for ignoring that 6 6 6 thing?
Coz if its just a free kick **** it. We lose half the clearances anyway, maybe if we park an extra half dozen men back we don't need to worry so much about how slow everyone is in trying to defend. Maybe just play Gawn there as a permant loose man in defence and forgo having a ruck altogether.

You get a warning first time, and then its a free kick for every time after that. Sadly for your plan, they wait until the 6-6-6 is set up before the free kick is taken
