Is this you Graeme?

There are some people who played on with broken legs. There were times when Jim Stynes was told in no uncertain terms he couldn't/shouldn't play. He played against Adelaide and dominated a week after breaking his hand.

There are those who can have a split nail and walk off the field. But sometimes a player needs to make a choice. This week the best move is Jenkins in and Otten back. The only thing stopping that is Jenkins saying no
So are you're suggesting JJ plays without a full medical clearance by our medical team because that seems to be the hold up from his interview on the radio?
This is 2017 not 1967.....and all that duty of care stuff....

If a player wants to play they can fool or bluff the medical team.

FFS normally I would not suggest playing the delicate snow flake at anything less than 100% but it's time to grow a pair and suck it up for the team.

With Talia out we need Otten back, and therefore JJ forward

In: JJ Beech
Out: Talia & Menz
Why do we need Otten back? Other than Riewoldt, the Tigers hardly have another big forward we need to worry about too much. Surely Hartigan and Lever cover whoever they throw down there...

Hartigan on Riewoldt and Lever on resting forward ruckman. It's their medium-small forwards that we need to worry about.

Jenkins didn't fill me with confidence with his comments today. Don't play him. The slightest knock to the ribs and he won't give anything. He's a player that needs to be 100% ticketyboo

I was at the Richmond match and they're just not good enough to trouble us. They were woeful under pressure and their game plan relies on structuring up man on man down the ground. They are extremely susceptible to outside play and any time Melbourne looked good on the outside, they ran away. Richmond rely strongly on kicking directly out of stoppages whereas Melbourne were adept at getting the ball on the outside. We are an outside team and Richmond will really struggle with that
