Was at the game. Was watching this kid rip us a new one and asking 'who the hell is that'.

Check fan footy and it was like 'oh boy'.

Was that the game he announced himself? I don't really remember him before it.
Yeh, it was his breakout game. Came out of nowhere because he wasn't even a centre square mid at that stage (was still being rotated through HF/mids)

I don't remember it being that wet but being in Wellington it would have been windy

He tore us to shreds that day, first time I realised just what a good player he was.
You're Wright of course.

Don't know why I'm remembering it being in Auckland in terrible conditions and night game as well, must be confusing it with a different game. Have the Saints ever played a NZ night game in really shitty winter conditions?

We played a night game there against Brisbane in 2014 on Anzac Day, it was after the Essendon v Collingwood game.

It wasn't all that wet that night either although it was still pretty slippery with all the dew on the grass.

I'm glad we don't play games there anymore as it was a campaigner of a ground to play on even in good conditions and we lost there more than we won.

Hadn’t even thought about Crisp until reading the last couple pages here, I’m now leading towards picking him up for Clark as I’m currently starting 3 rookies in defence. Probably the cheapest he’ll be all season and I can see him averaging 95-100.

Backline would then be Lloyd/Whitfield/Zilliams/Crisp with Hore/Duursma/Scrimshaw/Burgess as rookies.

Only concern is I’d need some luck with price changes from Rozee, Telly and the mid rookies to be able to get both Hately and Telly in next week.

Yes, that was the whole point of the trade which seems to have been lost on some. It's not like Clark was setting the world on fire averaging 59 at D8 anyway. A 102k D8/M11 averaging 45-50 is still going to spud their way to a 120k+ profit. If they don't, they become a handy loophole for 2 lines. Either way that trade is going to help fund Duursma > Lloyd for my team next week.
Exactly the same thing i will be doing next week

Needs to be said over and over coz it gifted the Pies a flag in 2010.
Same gift happening again for the first time since.

Imagine if Sydney finishes top 4 two years running including a flag then gets told they can have their last 7 games at the SCG, when they will be playing finals there AND the GF is played at the SCG.
Imagine if WCE got handed 7 games to finish off the season at Optus this year.
It would be a scandal the Melb press would make sure could never happen again.....but it is.

I think the Tiges play like 5 actual away games this year, and even they are against mobs that finished bottom 6-7 mainly.

Bugger it, i should give Gill a call and blast him about it....just after I ask him "Baker or Ross ? "
Sydney would miss the finals if they had to play at home for the last 7 weeks.

Interstate teams have home grounds. Melbourne teams do not.

Maybe your club just pissed too much money down the drain on Buddy and Tippett thinking it would get them a flag and became too top heavy #justsaying

By the way, the most successful NRL team for the last two decades has to deal with the same thing. Hasn’t worried them #GoStorm

Swings and roundabouts. Or if you really can’t get over it, there’s always the NEAFL.
