Rockliff will be the one to get in when that 0 is out of his system in 2 weeks time (if he plays this week, if not then 3 weeks)

Rockliff at 450-500k is too hard to ignore, he could be a straight swap for a maxed out CEY by then.

Will he be running on all cylinders though?

He has got a punctured lung, concussion, he's a first year captain carrying a struggling team - it is a lot to take on and it may take a while to hit his straps, I'm not 100% convinced at the moment.

Like Selwood, I'd like to see him get a little more touch before I commit to him.

My thinking is that the forwards are the way to go, for a few reasons:
I know I'm not very good at this game. But I find no matter what I do the defence will always **** you in the poopsie. And given that there are so many bicurious mid/forwards this year... FORWARD HO!

I have 9 what I would consider good/super/elite/whatever you wanna call them midfielders in my side. That could climb to 13 or 14 if I don't **** it up. Never gonna get dat tastiness from your backline.

Bennell you stupid campaigner, why do it when my forward line is thin as it is... WHY?!?!!?

Just when I begin to trust Harley, he goes an gets himself suspended FFS.

Seriously, what is going on at that club?

Yeah it seems some players have struggled with injuries at times. Parker after his concussion comes to mind, Rockliff like you mentioned.

Selwood has history of coming home with a wet sail, I'd back him in.

It's alright, I'm sure the AFL will step in and bail them out. We can't have QLD footy looking bad now can we.

I would like him to have on dud game this week and then I'll jump on I think. Either way his breakeven is 189.

True, I cracked it with both Dunstan and Tyson early last year and while it helped short term, long term I had to hold players I didn't want to and I didn't finish my backline. Peaked at 64th just after the MBRs but was never able to challenge due to players like Breust and Suckling spudding it up late in the year and I ran out of cash and reserved trades for Gazza and Beams when they got injured.
I kept Tyson ahead of Dunstan, more of a seasoned player than a first year rookie, less chance of hitting the wall. I did run out of trades for the last round, had 6 donuts :)

My brother has this theory that PODs win you games, problem is PODs don't stay as PODs if they score well over a period of time.
They might win you some league games here and there however looking back at past winning teams (as I have tended to do), not many have started with a true pod, most have played a pretty straight bat when it comes to their selections, they've gone for value (fallen premiums mostly) and the odd value breakout contender (Swallow, Dangerfield a few years back etc.) but most of them have played it relatively safely with a more or less GnR approach and a few value picks.

People undervalue the importance of selecting the right premiums, people that nail their premiums from the start have the distinct advantage of being able to bring in fallen premiums that have underscored for those that have started with them, plus have the points advantage of the premiums they have correctly selected, it's why someone like Pendlebury is a bit of a no brainer.

Yeah, you'd wait two weeks before summing up his situation and see if he scores above 83 in that time. It seems JPK is the go this week but Jacobs, Sloane, Rocky, B Smith, Hibberd etc are a few I can think of who may fall in the next 2-3 weeks. Even Goldy could fall if he stays around that 90-110 range while that 92 rolls over.

You need to get lucky, and they need be in an awkward price range (500k odd) where you look twice maybe three times before you pick them up. They then have to go BANG BANG BANG and rise quickly before others can jump on.
Stevie J and Chappy have been good for it in the past. But I tried it again this year with SJ and it bit me in the ass. He started at 570 and now he's worth 430 - and will drop even further - that said, that now makes him ripe for the POD if he can get back some form. Thankfully I jumped off before he lost 100k.

I'll make a decision on Selwood in round 14
Cats next 7 games are against Pies, Swans, Blues, Eagles, Bombers, Port and Dees, potential for some big scores based on history

I hope he throws in some shockers and is between 550-600k after his bye :thumbsu:

Ouch, I had a full field due to Z Jones and Z O'Brien being late ins

Did have Fyfe and JPK on the pine though

Fyfe, JPK, Beams I think, Rockliff I believe didnt play either, can't remember the rest. Most of my midfield was out, fell from 144th or something to 2000 odd lol.

Actually Stevie J may be a better pick than Rocky.

If he goes sub 400 then he'd be a decent back up eventually.

I was on his train in 2012-13 but his suspension history in 2013 was ******

Yeah I copped it in round 21, 94th to 275th, moved up to 201st though as I had some bench cover like Miles and traded last trade on Beams for Lewis who went huge.

Great ranking, well done! How you looking this year? I'm around 3000 odd, not doing as well as I have done in the past but still plenty of time left to improve. Backline has been my downfall.

I'll look to get onto him after the Swans game. He should be nice and juice then. He will cut it up agains the blues, Eagles and Dees etc.

I thought I was so ****ing clever when he busted out a 131 against the Hawks round 1.
