Beyond angry right now. Absolute sham and a joke of a joint.

You could replace Baguley with a witches hat and we'd come out on top as we'd concede less free kicks.

Only a few weeks away until out Ridley, in Dea.

You need to invest and give the kid confidence to compete while we are on top and winning. To drop a kid twice in the first 6 rounds is not a great way to develop players... especially when the senior core has failed for the last 10 years.

GET ******!
Agree re Parish. Not so much Bags, if he fails tomorrow then it may be time to move him on but someone needs to be putting pressure on his position.

Think they’ll line up a little more like;-

Ambrose Hooker McKenna
Ridley Hurley Saad
Guelfi Heppell McGrath
Tippa Stringer Fanta
Brown Daniher Smith

Bellcho Shiel ZMerrett

Zakka Redman Myers Baguley

We have a much better spine than the Pies - if our big guys play well we can win this. Feel like my boy Stringer will explode when his game...comon Dons!

Bit surprised by the Baguley hate club... but very happy with Zaharakis & Smith back in. Hopefully they are close to 100%.

Another positive is Jamie Elliot missing. He is the sort of annoying pest that has the ability to take the game away from us in a 5-10 minute period. They have replaced him with Hoskin-Elliot for his first game of the year... who can also be equally damaging but again it is first game for the season so may not be at his peak just yet.

No.

Don't need to win this to be contenders. We just need to show consistency.

If we are toe 2 toe with collingwood deep into the 4th then we will be seen as a legit force, they are the current benchmark.

Even if we lose we are back to 3-3
It’s still the most important game, we haven’t been in a position to be legitimately tested in years. Difference between beating a great team in an surprise upset and beating a great team when they know your quality.

Of course the year won’t be over but there will still question marks until we overcome a significant test.

For the last three weeks there have been melts over selection.

Results may dictate that the guys paid to do the job may in fact have more of an idea than we do.
Blindfaith in authority seems a bit misplaced when discussing the Essendon football club. You could fill a library with the failures of those 'paid to do the job' at Essendon over the past decade. And those currently in the job haven't achieved much of anything yet.

I see the glorious light at the end of the tunnel re Baguley.

Clearly, though, Parish has not been as good as consensus would have you believe.

I'm pleasantly stunned we've had the balls. I dont think Guelfi has done much but his game against North was significantly better than Parish's best this year.
This tells me Parish's best game is far greater than Guelfi's.

A meltdown over selection before a game beats a meltdown over selection after a game.

We've played the 3 worst defensive teams in the league to get our season back on track and pat ourselves on the back again. Classic Essendon.

Once we get done tomorrow Woosha will come out play a straight bat on how we want to play and then we'll need to play "our brand of football" once we get done by Geelong. We'll beat Sydney which means everything is back on track again. Rinse, repeat.

We are going to have the shut this board down tomorrow. There'll be an angry mob.

Just a quickie. Who does Ambrose match up on?
Mihocek is my guess, maybe WHE if he plays forward. Both are taller running types.

Hurley on De Goey, Hooker on Cox (cue jokes), Saad and McKenna on whoever the hell the Collingwood smalls are. Ridley / Redman to take whichever of Mihocek and WHE Ambrose doesn’t.
