So put your positives and negatives here.

Positives
Clean clearances from Naitanui's HOs.
LeCras back to form.
Backline relatively solid.
Lycett's all-around game.
Duggan's first half.

Negatives
Kennedy's kicking general (and goal kicking specifically).
Priddis' decision making around the contest.
Gaff's field kicking at times.

Positives:
Naita
Duggans first half
Lycett

Negatives:
We are so mentally weak. Completely crapped the bed in the third quarter. Would be nice to string together four quarters of dominant football.
Priddis / Masten combo. Very poor today I thought.
Commentators... We get it. Cox is American and it would be great for him to succeed. Please stop trying to find the positives in every single minute act he undertakes on a football field.

Thought it was a very poor performance with our normal 'kick away late' efforts after a few Pies went down papering over our obvious cracks.

We aren't good enough to win the whole thing. We'd best hope this 'timing the run' theories are on the money.

To be fair, the rest of the league copped hearing about Naitanui in the early years, let them have their excitement. ;)

Positive : Shuey in the 3rd quater stood up finally one of our Midfielders changed momentum of the game

Lecras must of got a rocket and responded

Duggan so clean just needs to find a little more ball

Negatives : Still seem so far off our best football we seem so much like a momentum confidence based team that if it doesn't go our way we go into our shells and if it does go our way we turn back to Rock stars !! If that makes sense :drunk:

Lycett's aggression is a big tick, just needs to avoid suspensions when possible. Maybe it wasn't with Vickery's gob in front of him.

Hill's pressure was really good and I was happy he was rewarded with a late goal.

+ Shuey wrestled the game back in the third
+ Duggan looked clean in stretches
+ Lycett's aggression is great, has rubbed off on Nic it seems
+ Really like Redden when he gets time in the middle.

Got tonnes of negatives to be honest but leave it for a while after the game to see if it's just the emotional response. Initial thought is our inability to win hard ball 50/50s which killed us against Sydney is a permanent problem, not a 'Sydney are good' problem. Forward entry was dreadful. I'll be back after I've watched it again to see if it was just game day emotion talking.

A negative was Priddis and the role he seemed to be playing. Thought he was great last year because he played to his limitations, did his best work in tight and fed it out to better distributors. Too often we had him kicking inside 50 today and it helps to explain a lot of our forward issues.

Nailed it. Think Gerard Healy had it right when he said that we too often try to play champagne footy - Nic tapping it to Shuey on the burst. That's great and it's no surprise we use it so often given how effective it is. But we lack a solid back-up plan and are too often bullied at the stoppages by smarter and more aggressive sides like Hawthorn.

Would love to have a really tenacious, fierce presence like Jack Viney in the middle to compliment our less physical players.

He was right off today - banging it on the boot - straight to the opposition - terrible handpasses - awful kicks.

Masten was poo

kennedys kicking - just no

We beat a piece of s**t team that to be honest we should have destroyed.

The postives:
-Lecca was solid, hopefully he takes this good form and confidence to big games like next week.
-McGovern was solid
-Hill probably our second most consistent forward all year so far, great to see
-Lycett
-Duggan

Negatives:
-Masten, piss poor today, barely noticed him. Ditto Jetta.
-JK 3.6. pls

But worst of all, by far, holy ******* s**t did we stink it up in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Collingwood, of all teams, just played a training drill. Mason Cox had a purple patch ffs. And they weren't even playing that well, but * me we stank it up big time. But nothing will change cause we won by 10 goals. Unfortunately it's just gonna hide the GLARING OBVIOUS cracks in this team.

+ Duggan's first half was Cousins-esque at times. Wondering if perhaps he lacks the tank to put together full games - he looked very tired by the end.

+ Shuey stepped up when we needed him most. Our get out of jail player.

+ Nic's tapwork was sublime.

+ Sheppard was much more composed than he has been at any other time this season.

+ Redden was very good inside and looks to be developing good chemistry with Shuey - good to see them blocking for each other.

+
10 goal win, responded when challenged (eventually)
Our rucks are going awesome
Plenty of ball into the 50, makes inside 50
Redden and Duggan beginning to fit in well

-
Masten, Priddis, Jetta all probably a bit out of form.
Poor accuracy
Bit to Kennedy focused going forward

Lecras - Did everything for the team, has never been far off, just his skills lacking in previous games. Worked harder than anyone but needs support. His left foot kick for goal was well justified, he looked for the pass option first. Had clean hands and his kicking was good (could have had more goals)
JK - Such a dominant player except for his goal kicking ... what the actual * is he doing? Besides that ... good leads, good marking, good leadership
Duggan - Awesome first half and then nothing. Needs to back himself more, always kicks sideways or handballs unless he's rushed, when he's rushed into playing he plays so clean! Clean pick ups and good sideways movement. When he marks the ball he loses all of it, which is a shame because he looks like he'll be able to mark when he puts on size
NN - Dominant ruckwork, awesome goal off the left, did fade a bit but provided a fair bit when we needed it as well as defensively.
Lycett - AFL quality back up, awesome when he moves forward, looks dangerous
Shep - Thought he improved a lot on his decision making and was intercepting well
Redden - Major improvement, good ball user and is hitting the scoreboard, one of our best mids
Hutchings - Did good things when he had the chance
Priddis - looked the only one capable of winning a hard ball for a period but didn't do much with it
Jetta - Useless .... would actually prefer Rosa. Jetta was half arsed at every contest and looked scared to get dirty
Hill - had a few weak moments but also an awesome tackle in defense, overall was a negative for me the way he avoided tackles and tried to grab the ball one handed whilst moving away from the pack.
Cripps - useless until the last
Butler - Some very good work, good tackles, even unlucky not to have gotten some free kicks

Positives:

Naitanui - Outstanding
Lycett - Very good
Duggans first half was excellent, need to keep him in.
Shuey was superb.
The defence I thought was pretty solid, especially when Collingwood got a run on.

Negatives:
GOALKICKING
Major drop off in effort and intensity in the midfield from early in the second until late in the third, very poor in the contest.
Lack of run from Masten, Jetta and to a lesser extent Gaff.
Darling was quiet.
I think we are too JK focused sometimes going forward, need to be a bit smarter with our entries.

Overall we are 4-2 with a strong %. Obviously, we would have liked to at least won one of the Hawks/Swans games. We need a serious improvement next week, cannot afford a drop off and need a lift from quite a few players.

I know that we have been underwhelming at times, but it is a long season. I recall the year 2006. We were extremely patchy at times throughout the first half (and into the second) part of the season... It's hard work but as long as we maintain the home record and get some away wins, we can be thereabouts. It is an open race this year... Just need to be in position at the end of the H&A rounds.

NN - Dominant ruckwork, awesome goal off the left, did fade a bit but provided a fair bit when we needed it as well as defensively.

How much did he sit on the pine in the last quarter? About 50% of it? Probably a consideration.
Important to remember that he kicked us back into gear at the start of the last quarter.

positives:
- lecras answered a few short memory having dimwits who were questioning his worth
- duggan continues to show promise
- mcgovern looks to have settled in a role despite mackenzie's presence
- shuey is showing good consistency from week to week
- naitanui seems nicely conditioned to AFL footy these days

negatives
- JK has the yips
- mackenzie continues to offer nothing
- jetta hasn't hit his straps
- priddis' form and overall influence on our midfield structure is a growing concern. too bad the mods locked the thread so we can't discuss it.

+ Shuey
+ Lycett - He is now 'the beast' again :thumbsu:
+ Duggan (except his awful goalkicking, his ball drop is ****ed.)
+ Redden getting some touches
+ Lecras having an influence, but had negatives

- Priddis (sadly) - has looked s**t since his week off, slower than ever, not suprised if he is still carrying a groin
- Lecras far too goal hungry, burned Cripps more than once.
- Kennedy goalkicking
- Laying the ball off to Gov for a shot when he is in a s**t position and misses more than he kicks.
- Emac was poor
- Umpiring wasn't at its best.

+ Duggan was clean
Nic Nat continued his solid form
Lecras kicked straight and won plenty of ball
Gov
eMac looked better today
Appears like no major injuries
We did what we needed to do when challenged
Watching Buckley slap his fist on his desk is so funny - he hates the Eagles
Lycett did a really good job and didn't get reported

- brain fades by priddis
Jetta lacking instinctive footy
