Prediction Round 6 to 9 Fixture Predictions

My understanding of how the WA hub will work is this:

Rd 7: Cats v Pies, Freo v WCE
Rd 8 and 9: Cats/Pies v Freo/WCE round robin
Rd 9: Two vic clubs in WA
Rd 10 and 11: Two Vic Clubs v Freo/WCE round robin
Rd 11: Two vic clubs in WA
Rd 12 and 13: Two (new) Vic Clubs v Freo/WCE round robin

So there will be three games in WA round 9 and maybe round 11 (if 3rd hub is needed).

This is because you can't play 3 derbys as much as we'd all like there to be.

Yup, my thinking exactly.

That's silly, under your proposal there is no reason for pies/cats to even play in Perth.

Pies/cats play in Melbourne on a thursday night, fly to perth on the friday to begin their 14 day prison term, by the time the next weekend comes around they have done 7 to 8 days, following week they play and complete the 14 days and then fly home.

WA gov wants the VIC clubs to have spent 14 days in WA before playing against Freo or WCE. So they have to play over there against each other or have a bye.

Don't shoot the messenger, just telling it as is.

Sounds like the AFL really has bowed to the complaints of Adam Simpson, the West Coast Eagles & the WA government. Maybe the Victorian clubs should make as much noise about not wanting to travel as Adam Simpson did.

So July 25 is the earliest that can happen then if they arrive on July 11.

They are able to play each other as they both have Victorian germs.
They just cant play WA teams.

So for example....

Arrive on July 11
Sit in hotel for a week/train
Pies vs Cats on July 18 (7 days)
Sit in hotel for a week/train
WCE vs Pies, Freo vs Cats on July 25 (14 days)

Carlton v Gold Coast at Metricon is a great result for the Baggers. We (for whatever reason) seem to play them much better up there than we do in Victoria/Marvel.

Don't expect Jack Martin to get a warm welcome though lol
The way we are going at the moment you guys will get smashed out of the park in the first quarter!

Last year worked out well at metricon..

So whats happening to Round 8 and Round 9?
Let's not get ahead of ourselves. After the Connor McKenna scare and what it might have done to fixture if Essendon had more games postponed than just last week. Thank our lucky stars we can just get rounds 6 and 7 done now. Working more than three weeks ahead just not needed right now. Keep options open is so much more senisble.

Lol maybe. The banter leading up to the game should be great. Loving The way you guys are playing right now, but at some point, your young guns will hit wall/suffer from fatigue..

Wonder if we are the rivals now due to the Jack Martin controversy.

The Weitering on Ben King matchup should be a beauty and dare I say, perhaps the most crucial with regards to the outcome of this game :)

Seems bizarre to me that Hawthorn would host us at Marvel. They've never hosted us at Marvel before. Could be a mistake
AFL is playing chicken with the Tassie deal. If Hawks want home games at the MCG, they need to walk away from tasmania.
