I mean, obviously you're right. Just looking at all possible angles I guess.

What would you do with this>?

(atm using Setters to loop Gibbons/Atkins/Scott)

Clark > Ross via Moore and Setterfield
Parker > Daniel

or

Clark > Lockhart
Parker > Rockliff via Setterfield.

or

Clark > Lockhart
Parker > Daniel. (Drew to M8)

or

some other variation on that theme. it really depends what players you are and arent interested in (Baker?)

or

dont trade.

...but i like the idea of getting a rookie off the field more than the idea of upgrading Crouch.
that doesnt mean its better, just that i'd do it different. Marlowe made a decent argument for doing the opposite.

Must admit...... Parker to Burnman Rockpig is all sorts of sexy

and you're absolutely right. A rookie off the field feels better

"Now scoring 40s"...you mean A 40 because the 3 pervious games he scored 86, 79 & 87 = 3 game average of 84.

It really depends on how important the amount of left over cash is to you going forward. I would still trade Clark though. Geel team selections will be interesting this week.
You conveniently forgot the "and" here though, Andrew.

His price point is around 55-60 now

Yes he scored a 40 last round, his price point right now is higher than that score

If he scores another 40 odd he'll hold his price for this week as his BE is about that, but after this week he'll be in danger of going backwards

He really needs to bust another 70-80 out this week otherwise he'll have to be traded and I don't want to trade him next week as I won't have DPP options available if I go Clark/Cousins and bring in 2 forwards or a forward and a mid

Really want to go

Moore > Rotham/Lockhart
Butters > Rockliff

Only thing is that would involve pushing Kentstable off the ground and onto the pine. Which just doesn't sit right when i've got dopey kent Parker on field at F6.

Rockspud won't be this cheap again, but Parker smells..... i'm torn.

Think I might just chuck the E on Balta up forward if named

Pull Cousins to Ross if named

Field both Ross and Hore if named

Then wait to pull the trigger on Clark/Collins depending on teams, but it probably makes more sense to bring in a premium forward if I miss out on Baker rather than premium defender. If I were to bring Baker in then I'd likely bring a premium defender in instead

I will loophole Setterfield from the mids this week as Atkins, Setterfield and Walsh all play late, so I'll be in no danger of a donut there on that line

Waiting game I guess

I like the sound of smith to lloyd but what do you think of Milera dislocating his shoulder, do you know how long he is out for, and do you think I should trade him or not?

i have him also
milera to lloyd

i need to get baker while i can as forward rooks are so shit

Suggestions please...
Had my mind set on Setterfield and Darling -> Telly and Baker. (Have 76,000 in the bank)

But Geelong playing WCE this week scares me, if Bitchings tags Telly I have no doubt in my mind he will pull out one of his specialty 40 odd scores.

Get him in anyways?
OR
Darling + Setterfield to Ross and Baker? gives me a nice bank of almost 400,000.

im at a loss, any opinion appreciated...ty 124k in bank View attachment 660480
Rozee upgrade? The 100+ comes out of his price changes now I think? He could be a slow burn from here.

Whether or not you grab a 450k forward is the key. Will require a small downgrade to fund getting someone like Tim Kelly or Caleb Daniel. Would look at maybe getting Hately in a week early for someone like Scott who could well be dropped (albeit risky as Hately could suffer the same fate after a good game 1) for an extra 25kish?

First thoughts on my first upgrade:
Butters>Ross
Collins>T.Kelly
Like it. Butters TOG has dropped steadily every week, presumably that is evidence he is getting closer to a rest. May find it more difficult to get consistent 70s if his TOG is 10-15% lower than the start of the season too.

Personal opinion is that only one of Ross or Baker will end up a `must have`, wouldn't choose both, due to positions you have to go Baker, I`d go him and Kelly. Double downgrade would only make sense if it was say a Constable/Walsh pairing coming through.

How about with Lockhart being named, trading one of Clark or Burgess to him?

Currently considering …

Clark>Lockhart
Butters>Baker (via Setters to Mids)
Leaves $274.8k in the kitty.

Next week …
Wagner>Hately
Parker>Heeney

That leaves just $6.7k in the kitty based on current price change projections, which is cutting it close. So variations in that, or rookies missing selection, could mean a better rookie gets traded out next week.

Edit: Wagner dropped so he can go out this week and Butters gets a reprieve.

With the 36 dropping out of Rockpigs rolling average this week, his BE is 31. It's now or never. I'm not having a great year so going to take a risk and get him. Was planning on doubling down this week, but will probably now get a rookie and Rocky for Sheed. The question is, which rookie out of Ross and Baker? Leaning towards Baker despite the elevated price tag.

I've got ROB at R3 & I agree with you ......but I've seen a number of sides on here the last 2 days, that have ROB at R2

It's a very interesting discussion though ....the $500K you save can upgrade 2 failing Rookies to premo's ...their points will outstrip any points differential beween ROB and Gawn / Grundy ....the question is, you're likely to require 2 trades to get Gawn / Grundy back in
I’m strongly considering it and in my case it would mean converting rookies F5 & F6 to a completed forward line.

The difference in starting lineup as it currently stands would be:

Gawn LDU Parker vs
RoB Telly Walters

You don't reckon we'll see Wagner again any time soon? Thought he played well first 2 games, last one sucked bad though.
