I like Lockhart more as a potential future swinging M11/D8 loophole doughnut than as a traditional cash cow. What he scores or even if he plays again doesn't bother me.
Once injuries and players getting tired sets in you may be worrying about what he scores if you have to field him. You don't want to be carrying to many spuds in your team

Setter field to Baker & Butters to Rockliff
Or Parker to Baker & Butters to Martin?

I have a feeling Setterfield doesn't get named and won't get back in. Not sure who avgs more from here out of Martin and Rockliff?

The rookies have a little bit more $ to make but I have $188k in the bank and can upgrade now and don't wanna miss out on Baker.

Time to upgrade JOM who is not pulling his weight - can either upgrade to Neale with a cheaper rookie option this week (Ross / Lockhart) or can go to someone like Merrett or Macrae with a more expensive rookie option (Bakery or Hately, etc.). Thoughts?

That's true, I do like having 2 loophole doughnuts whilst I still have rookies on field though.

Hi guys I need a little help, not sure what to do this week. Really want rocky but can’t seem to find a way to get him in without cutting a good rookie. Thinking I may have to just double downgrade getting baker for Moore and Ross for butters. Any advice would be appreciated.

I feel I have to many spuds as it is so he doesn't work for me, having balta burgess Scott and setterfield annoys me
I'd be looking to off-load all of those spuds sooner than later. I never had Burgo & Balta and thankfully turfed Scott & Setters already. Bench rookies need to be either making $$$ every week or making themselves useful by not playing at all.

Anybody considering Robbie Gray?

Surely he'll get back to 90+ average? He is too good to stay down.
They just beat the Eagles in Perth with him sitting in the forward 50. Don't think he'll be getting back to 90+ any time soon
On the watchlist, but will need to see a lot before I even think about it

Dustbin is like the 90th ranked midfielder for total points and 70th ranked for average...... He can EAD the stupid campaigner.
:p
and yet, if he goes 140+ tonight you'll think about it :thumbsu:

Some have dumped a Gawn for OBrien at R2....now that's a risk. Buying Dusty thinking its as a future M8 is like "where do I sign" by comparison.

Unfortunately there's only 8 on-field midfield spots and there's a lot of good midfielders going around. Right now I'd be starting Walsh over Dusty every day of the week.

Scrimshaw and Leopold Stotch to Tim Kelly and Ross via Keira is the current plan but not sure how desperately it needs to be done.

Think they've both got money in them still, but it lets me cull another couple of cows next week.

Only 9k in the bank unfortunately, makes upgrading hard this week
I see what you mean. I'd be doing Clark > Lockhart & Butters > Ross this week. If you still want Rocky next week he'll be easily attainable as your mid bench rookies will go up in price more than him this week anyway. You've got a lot of upgrading to do, so cash is king right now.

Do you not think baker has more security than Lockhart and better scoring ability. If I brought him and Ross in for Moore and butters it would give me 320k in the bank and then get Hately next week for a Atkins and start upgrading.

I understand, but i'm a realist.
I'd be starting Walsh over him as well....in the very very short term. Its never really about games in the past. Walsh for instance is hero of the day...saves us all worrying about a mid slot BUT IT WONT GO ON FOREVER. He is 18 and his club will manage every single corky or knock he gets. He will also tire, and he will also be marked better as he loses his novelty value on the field whereby coaches start putting time into him.
Its a hellova lot harder for him to just avge 85-90 from here than to have avged 115 in his first month of "just go out there and have fun". I assume he will need upgrading at some point...and the way he's going it wont be an issue.
I should have never mentioned Martin, he's a week or two off even being a consideration...but with his dream draw from here, and history of going nutso for patches he's a pretty reasonable pickup even this week.
