I feel kinda dirty not brining in Dusty given the FWD, but like others not convoinced of one performance he is back yet. The Tigers played very well and he kicked three goals to get 110 points. Just hanging off for now and hanging my head in shame. However, Clark and Rozee out, for Hayes and Oliver in, gets me over my shame.....for now.

Mate theres no right or wrong move, but thats a right move :) If you believe in Heeney (many would) then great move. Having said that I left the FWD's myself and strengthened the mids, but its gotta be what suits you man.

Where are you sitting overall?

We're still pretty early in the season and you need to keep up with the cash gen. I'd look to move on stale rooks (Burgess, Parker, Duurs, Clark) and bring in fresh rooks.

Your trades definitely look good, Duurs and Roz out and Hayes in fits in with the above, just depends whether you get Heeney or another fresh rook this week. Hard to say. Both options are good, I reckon whichever one you choose this week, do the other next week.

Re-posting from a few pages back as I am really torn on which way to go.

Talk of Whitfield copping the Hewitt tag has me jumping at shadows as well.

'With a bit of DPP action across a few lines I can go Duursma to Hately (via Stack to D6) and Rozee to Whitfield (via Burgess to F8).
This moves Miers onto the field in my forward line.

Only thing really making me double guess that trade is that I could also do Clark to Hately instead of Duursma and then something like Parker to Hurn/Witherden/Sheppard, or Parker to a Heeney.

Or even Clark to Hately and Rozee to Laird.

So basically get rid of two ‘better’ rookies in Rozee/Duursma but get Whitfield or move on a Clark or Parker instead but end up with a Heeney/Shep/Witherden type?

I got Hayes in last week so Hately is my number one trade in rookie target.'

Heeney has a BE of 81 so probably not a bad time to get him.

This year I'm really trying to focus on the cash gen and not upgrading my team too soon. Last year I kept improving up until the other side of the byes and then plateaued and just struggled to get enough cash for upgrades.

The premos you have have been performing so you can probably afford to go down the same route of concentrating on rooks, but if you feel you can still keep the cash gen going, Heeney will be a good shout.

Team selection may force your hand as I suspect Clarke will be rested this week.
Your Clark to Hately, Rozee to Laird looks good.

Also, fielding Miers against us (WCE) this week doesn't seem so bad (if he's not rested too)
Those crazy fast manic half forwards often trouble us.

Cheers. Clark is on my bench so wouldn't be the end of the world if he is rested.

At the moment I'm trading out Duursma and Parker, but if Clark and/or Burgess get dropped, I'm wondering if I should trade them instead?

They have the following BEs:
Duurs 55
Clark 50
Burgess 35
Parker 48

I'm not comfortable that any of them will hit their BEs so thinking I might stick to my current trades and run with no defensive bench. I don't want Duurs dropping in value and Burgess is worthless anyway.

Same boat mate. I am going Durrs & Parker out and leaving Burgess. The money from trading him is next to nothing and at least the DPP helps somewhat.

What’s everyone’s opinion on Caleb Daniel? Can only get to him (or dusty..) by trading out Durrs & Parker (Hately Coming into m8 for 1st trade).

Is he worth it or should I go another direction and go for billing/Heeney/Boak next week instead?

I’ve changed my plans and traded out Burgess instead of Parker - purely to reduce the likely cash loss from Burgess.

Even if Parker doesn’t reach his BE, he still has some value in a trade to a rookie.
