Personally I am keeping Burgess, even if he is dropped. Being able to swing him and Rozee around is super handy at the moment.

Am tempted to bring in Laird this week with the news that Milera has hurt himself. Wondering if he can go back to previous scoring without Milera in the side now. Thoughts VSTone / Rise_up_Stiffy ?

I’ve got DPP options with the helmeted midget - Caleb, and Rozee.

Im around 11k overall
If your 11K, then give me advice, not the other way around :) Well done mate, Id definietly go for the one up one down personally then. Go for the push up. Heeney is cheap. As long as you keep the cash gen going, you'll be right. To me there are a bunch of Rooks which are near there top now so will automatically mean a trade out soon. Parker on your bench for example....

Wish I had stuck with him in pre season. So many signs pointing to him playing that HBF role. Silly me
Who knows what Crazy Bevo is going to do next ? Perhaps Caleb gets thrown into the ruck ??

What’s the JS of Staxk like? With Short marked as indefinite it seems alright? Scoring potential is decent too. Not sure of other options down back that might provide as much output
Look he is a young young Rook so you never know but with Short and Markov and Rance out theres some serious holes to be filled. He has shown he fits the hunt of the Tigers and can work that job rebounding as well as some courageous marking and chasing. Purely based on the need for that sort of man at HB and the talent he has shown he looks pretty settled. Hes one of my more "comfortable" Rooks. Particularly given our brand of footy and what he has shown he can do. He has also shown he can be poretty unpredictable and up and down like a young Rook can. Hore would be the other one thats shown good scoring and $$ gen of you havent got him. Stacks MID DEF helps too down the track.

Would you go Hayes and Oliver, or Hately and Seb Ross. Looking for another big gun in the MIDS. Or someone else interest you less then $739K?
Excellent call. But have him. Ranked 18K so looking for a bit unsual so looked for Ross. Other mids - Macrae, Sloane, Rocky, Merrett, Brouch, Walsh, Constable, and.....somebody, currently Ross junior.

I desperately want Hately but bloody hell he is expensive
Yeah thats what I reckon and thats a lot of extra cash. The only thing in my mind is if he truly has good JS with ward out, and he can average say 80, thats still a lot of cash, vs an unsure hayes JS. I just have no idea of JS of either to be honest.

I'm almost tempted to move Lib down to Hately for the cash grab which will allow me to get Whitfield in def. Although Laird's bottomed out price is tempting.

Way I see it is that if Hately can score similarly to what he did on the weekend then he shouldn't be too far off Lib whereas Whitfield is a HUGE improvement on any def rookie I'll be playing

With no names like Laird and Whits that your chasing Im concerned about your choices. I personally didnt start with Libba thinking that last week was what he would put up regularly so Im probably not ideal to comment. Hately can score, and if he has JS, seems an obvious choice. Hayes can score too, again just unsure of JS. Especially with so many mid type players at the dogs. Hately at least appears to have a regular spot that he can make his.

Lloyd was the only expensive def premium I started with this year. Cheap backlines have always worked for me in the past but not this year. Been chasing my tail since. Started with one too many premiums in the midfield initially as a result, so traded down to Lib very early on as his cash gen and scoring looked great to start the year. I also thought he would produce mediocre scores for the most part. Weakening my strong midfield to strengthen my defence is probably my best bet, I'm unfortunately well behind the 8 ball at this stage so either have to pay top dollar for Whitifeld, or chase some value in Laird
