Is Answerth any good? Always risky jumping on a rookie without seeing em for a game. Hayes probably has JS issues but at least he's put up a decent performance already.
Yeh, they're exactly my issues. DynamiteDons mentioned he had good form in the NEAFL. No risk, no reward eh? He'll be M10.

Hello ladies and gents. Long time reader, first time poster here.

Quick question re DPPs. I have Duursma (D/M DPP) on my mid bench this week, and two non-playing blokes on my def bench - Clark and Burgess. I would like to get Duursma's score as my D6 over Scimshaw who I currently have on field.

If I field Burgess/Clark and put the E on Duursma, will his score come through as my D6 even though he's on my mid bench?

Thanks all - enjoying the Fantasy ride so far this season!

No.

Can only be an emergency for the line he is on.

No, he needs to be on your DEF bench to get his emergency score.

Well my trades have been decided based on Hately not being named.

Parker -> Hayes (via Atkins DPP)
Duursma -> Laird

Going to grab Laird a little early, think he'll put in a big score this week hopefully with Milera out and playing the Saints who he loves to play against. I'm still tempted by Sheppard/Witho, might do it yet to hold a bit of cash back. I think if Laird can get going he's clearly going to be the 3rd best defender behind Whitfield and Lloyd.

Really wanted to be taking Hately this week but them's the breaks...

Duursma -> Hayes via DPP
Burgess -> Corbett

I'm as worried about Hayes's job security as much as the next guy but he's a mature age rookie who found a stack of the ball in the VFL last year so the signs are there that he could keep doing enough to hold his spot. Nice to be moving Burgess on even if it is for someone who might score just as poorly.

In a perfect world Nick Larkey has a decent game for North this week and holds his spot because if he does he looms as an excellent downgrade next week for Parker who has surely just about maxed out. A bottomed-out Laird would be my number 1 upgrade target in that scenario but hey let's just see how this week goes first...

My trades this week are forced.

Clark > Hately
Duursma > Merrett

Irreversible now but honestly not too upset about it! Reckon Hately should come back in very soon.
yeah same - pissed me off cuz i was going to put in ross but decided not to last minute and cant change it now.
glad these ruddy partial lockouts are done for a while

Hang on, that extrapolates to around 220.5 points this week !!
Can see it now,
Scores 22 points in the first 10mins, everyone on here raves about having him, except those who don't, they curse their choice whom hasn't even played his game yet, fast forward 1 hour and Larkey is on 30pts & on his way to being dropped.

Ranked 581 before this round. Had Rocky 43 Injured game and havnt had Petrucilles 115 as hes not in my side. Pretty happy with my spot and trades so far i did bring in R.Marshall for 88 and 53 and he has a tougher draw ahead and Rocky for his 43 injured concussion game.

Team after trades:
Whitfield
B.Smith
Z.Williams
Hore
Scrimshaw
S.Stack (Wilkie, L.Young)

Coniglio
M.Crouch
Rockliff
Brayshaw
Taranto
B.Crouch
S.Walsh
J.Ross (Constable, B.Scott)

Grundy vc
Gawn (Fort, Flynn)

Dangerfield
T.Kelly
Worpel
Newnes
R.Marshall
Drew (Miers, Baker)

Kitty: 90k

Probably take Grundys VC score even with Rocky expected to go so well he has got a 94 and a 43 from concussion next to his name. Bank the points for me.

R7 Trades:
Likely
B.Scott > W.Hayes
Drew/Miers > Corbett
Kitty: ~360k

From R8 onwards ill look to start upgrading probably starting down back.

Defenders on radar:
Sicily
Laird
K.Simpson
Blakely
Hurn

Fwds on Radar:
Billings
Heeney
Menegola
d.smith
Westhoff

Option 1 (safer, yet boring)
Burgess --> Hayes, Clark --> Young/Answerth
Leaves me with around 300k next week to go Duursma to Merrett

Option 2 (immediate upgrade)
Clark --> Answerth, Duursma --> Heeney
Back to no bank, but gets a rookie off the ground this week

Still leaning towards option 1. Merrett will be difficult to get in after next week otherwise. Duursma should go ok against the Roos

I’d go option 1 too. Might not be the greatest round to bring in Heeney either. His last two outings vs the Gants were in the 70s. There is also a slight chance he cops a de Boer tag although he will probably go elsewhere.

So you may as well squirrel away your nuts for Zerrett next week.

Agree
So now its just Answerth vs Young

Answerth doesn't seem like a Fantasy type (mid 50s in NEAFL) but might have a greater JS. Didn't see the Bulldogs play last week, was Young okay ?
Seems like he will be playing for a couple weeks whilst Sucking is out.

Saving Corbett as a Parker downgrade next week.

Duursma -> Hayes (via Stack)
Clark -> Young

347k in the bank

Might go Stack up to Laird next week if the stars align. Can't justify trading my remaining on field rooks in Hore, Constable, Walsh or Ross so I may be forced to go early on Stack even with a low BE.
+1 ATM...will young get a game next week?
