Here is a topical issue - Melbourne mids. Cameron Bruce ($420,770 to $351,900) and Jame McDonald ($418,800 to $361,100) look like cheap guns. Can they pull better stats even if Melb continue to lose? B/evens of 86 and 99 respectively.

Thoughts people?

I still think McDonald is a major bargain. Very underrated DTer. His 2 poor scores so far this season have been against Geelong and Hawthorn.

I think Ibbotsen is the pick of the 3, second year player, if he can hold his spot hell be good.

I also thought about Sam Mitchell this week but decided against trading him in mainly because of his consistency. Sure he avgs 95 a yr but thats made up of alot of 100+ scores and sub70 scores.

You must have an awesome team if Gram is your worst player. Focus on upgrading your cash cows in your 22 first then upgrade Gram about mid-season. Elite players will have a bad game every now and then so they will drop in price.

Also is it worth trading out Kieran Jack to a palmer, houli or armitage

yeah thought my team was solid heading into the season

Bowden and BJ are keepers - lost too much already, J Morton is on my bench - def want to upgrade Kennelly and Dyson in the next week or so

hmmm but I want to bring in Kane into my mids - how would I do that? Or better to upgrade my backs/forwards?

Probably going to do an upgrade from Embley to Mitchell trade as he has gone down in price. That or Embley to Stanton trade now that he's back with reasonable BE's.

Goddard is not back at his best, but the Saints use him endlessly through the backline so he'll be a keeper IMO.

Assess your remaining trades you need to make prior to the Jones / KCornes trade, if you run out you may need to keep him as your 6th mid. Dyson - Mitchell looks a safe bet if he drops 10K this week.

I am thinking that exact trade, but am thinking that waiting a week probably won't hurt the $ with both players likely to drop slightly. Jones BE 76 compared to Mitchell's 110 (although the BEs vary depending on where you look!) I can do so without needing other trades (actually thinking of Deledio to Riewoldt too). In your case if Ottens comes back then it is unlikely that West will get many games unless further injury occurs. Even if Ottens is one week away, it might be worth the wait. I also have West as my 4th ruck and am keeping as backup to save using the trade.

Too late to pickup Bradshaw and that trade isn't really an upgrade. He will only score well when he kicks a bag (doubt he'll do it week in-week out).
