Hmmmmm take Olivers 106 VC or go for more with Zerrett/Grundy/Danger/Lloyd/Boak? Tough one.

On another note, Dusty was a bit of a letdown. Oh well, one game.
Nah that is too low for VC.
Go for Pig if you have him. If not, then Grundy or Boak.
Avoid Danger, just gets stuck fwd too often and does SFA
Avoid Zach, Greenwood back IN and likely to tag him
Avoid Lloyd, 1. because I might bring him in and 2. poor record against GWS

Hore is a gun. 68 with no cheap stuff only intercept marks and contested possessions. Can see him averaging 80+
Yep wanted more than 68 from him but I don't think he took an uncontested mark all night. Was used at the kickout once and Sam Frost couldn't hit a 15 metre target which cost him 6 points. Will be a keeper until the byes I reckon.

Fielded stack and hore hmm. How many others did?
I fielded both. Would have liked a little more from both pre-game, but given how things panned out I actually don't think 68 and 54 was a bad result from them. Hore really had to work for his points; none of the cheap +6s that he'll get most weeks. Stack saved us from total disaster with a good second half having been on 18 at HT.

I did. Considering Stack is now a defender I'm fairly happy, 54 isn't great but I can't see Wilkie beating that by anymore than 20 best case scenario. If he was still a mid then no way I would've fielded him with Constable presumably back in.

Predictions for tonight:

Bray and Salem to go massive against Richmond
Dusty: big name player + added DPP + cheap = excellent trap
Hore to play kick-to-kick with Tom Lynch - 105
Lockhart to go alright
Game will be closer than expected
Balta to score 80 against his (probably mismatched) opponent
OK so after getting pretty much all of my predictions wrong, it's time to make some predictions for tomorrow (feel free to call me out if I get them horribly wrong again).
  • Essendon will win by <20
  • Merrett will be tagged by Greenwood to <85
  • Zaharakis to be top scorer for the Bombers
  • Grundy will have 50 hitouts but only scrape to 100
  • Crisp won't get any cheap possies - 60
  • Treloar to top score overall
  • Hooker will fail his owners - 50
So basically the idea is that you expect the exact opposite to happen. Since I have Crisp, surely he'll go 120 after saying he'll go 60. But saying that he'll go 120 instead of 60 will make him go 60. Oh wait...

YippeeYiYeo, good to see Salem turned it up in the last qtr for you, didn't want to lose you this early in the season! There is no doubt that Salem has genuine DT game, he will be close enough to top 6 def. If that was Crisp tonight he would have finished on 50 max lol.
That’s the thought that went through my head... I’ve already got Crisp, and now I’ve got Melbournes version of Crisp. As if riding one rollercoaster wasn’t enough.

Why the hell do I have 2 Crisps?

Crisp is only allowed 1 good game every 3 weeks. But because he tonned up last week I have to hold him, not fair. He will get to 12-15 pts in the first 5 min and then go to the bench for most of the first quarter. From there he will lose all momentum and scrape to 70 maybe. Can only hope that pies put this game to bed very early so Crisp can junk it up.

I agree, it's a dangerous game. You'll have massive weeks when they both turn it up because they both have ceilings of 130-140. Salem will be less of a headache though, I think he will be good for 80s every week. Tonight was just an unusual game for him, whereas it is is standard for Crisp to have a down game every second week.

Make him captain and then he will go at least 120 then :)

Gus has gone 100+ in 5/6 games and has dropped $11k off of his starting price. Impressive.
The guy is averaging 106 and people are complaining. Sheesh (not saying you are, i just mean a lot of his owners). Some people are just so ridiculous with their expectations. Same with the people jumping off Oliver. Like 102 is so criminal. Absolutely zero patience. Theres no way i would trade out either one

Yep for sure. Both have started decently and will improve.
